DIY Fabric Male Doll Project

Post by xxxSaixxx »

So, I really love my fabric anime girl, but now I want a male bishounen doll. But there isn't really anything like that available. The next best option I could find was to order a flat chested girl doll with masculine eyes and the right wig. The thing is though, the proportions would all be off, especially in the hips. But then I started thinking: "Hey, I can sew and draw!" :multi:

I'm going to attempt to make my own male anime fabric doll. A nice, beautiful, sexy, and snuggly boy toy

To start, I'm going to make a mini version. That way I can experiment with the pattern and make mistakes without wasting tons of materials. Assuming everything goes well, my plan is to then increase the pattern size and have a full sized version. The mini version will only be about 33 inches, but I want the full sized doll to be about 4 feet tall.

I wanted to post my progress here to keep me on track, get additional ideas, and to share the process in case someone else wants to attempt this. =^_^=

First I did the head. The head is the toughest for me, so I wanted to get it out of the way. This is version two, since version one was too generic and not masculine enough for my liking.

I've often considered making a male doll myself. My idea was to use a wooden "skeleton" for basic structure and sponge to simulate muscles. That way he would have human-like movement and flexing/stretching.

The face looks good. Definitely a good start.
Love the wig as well.

That's a great idea, I didn't consider using wood. :D
