general questions for doll owners

Post by mofmofmof »

hello fellow rlsd people

I have a few general questions i hope other owners can answer.

1) I own a 140cm (delight) A cup doll. from her feet (feet flat at 90 degree) to her headless top (minus the screw connection thing) is 51 inches, i was wondering if anyone who owns a 155 cm doll (5'1) can tell me her height without head/screw connection thing. I know i can deduce this with math but the 140 cm doll is not exactly 140cm but closer to 144 cm with the head on (#36).

2) atm i am using the box she was shipped in to store her, this is cheap and admitting a "ghetto" way to store her, i would rather have something a bit more secure, heavy duty and respectable to keep her in. I know she's an inanimate object which i literally fuck on a regular basis but it doesnt feel right that after im done with her i put her in some beat up cardboard box in the closet. I saw WM dolls produced a storage box for 140cm dolls but dont see them being sold by RLSD or other vendor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yWD4D7 ... e=youtu.be Im looking into hard shell golf cases, pick up truck boxes, and kayak transport shells but am curious to see what you others are using in terms of storage, it seems dufflebag under the bed is the most popular. Im sure some of you use the hanging option but to me hanging a sex doll like that is too weird for me.

3) The last general question is probably the most grim one, these sex dolls are not very durable, they are fragile and it is only a matter of time they will break to the point beyond repair. When that time comes how do you dispose of a sex doll? Last thing i want to do it dump in the dumpster and have the police investigate me for a possible murder. I thought about this for a little bit and before i bought my sex doll i figured the best thing is to cut up the tpe pieces, get rid of that stuff then get rid of the metal skeleton. However i am quite fond of my sex doll and i dont know if i can "cut her up" like that. Not saying im falling in love with my sex doll, just saying there is some sentimental feelings towards it, like a childhood teddy bear I dont think i can just rip it up and toss it aside like that. What have you guys done after you are done with a sex doll?

Thanks to those who can answer these questions

First mine is the same, 140cm A cup doll. I never store mine since she is out all the time and part of my life. She sits with me during TV and even video games. But I know there will be times when i have to go away for awhile. The best way i find to store her is the closet bar suspension kit. If your going to be storing her for long periods you can get the dust covers too. I know RLSD is working on a case to ship her in. It looks much like a case you would ship musical instruments in. That might be an option, but as I said the best way to store her is have both her head and body hanging separately from a closet suspension kit. That keeps her body safe from being in a laying down position for long periods which put weight on a body part that can be comprised over time.

As far as your last question I have thought about that too. For me at this time just taking very good care of her is the first thing. I have a deep bond with my doll which I really don't even relate to her as a "doll" any more but call her a ARG short for Alternate Reality Girlfriend. But like all good things they don't live forever and I am not sure how she could be disposed of safely and not ruining someone's day thinking there is a dead body in the dumpster. Not sure how to answer that at this time. Ironically it's like having a real girlfriend who you end up marrying. The question is always there how long will she be alive. Since we all die it's a thought that can enter our minds once in a while. And a worry. Maybe RLSD can come up with a safe way way that's not going to freak others out to safely dispose of a doll who is beyond repair.

As to disposing of a doll, I would seriously recommend selling or giving her away. These ladies can be quite expensive and there are plenty of people who would love to have a doll but can't afford one. You could definitely make someone very happy or even change the quality of their life by such a kind gesture. With that said, I do understand the concern about previously owned dolls. But it's really not as bad as it seems. They can definitely be sanitized with 90% isopropyl alcohol. And the new owner may not even want her for sex, as people have dolls for other reasons. But if "disposal" is the only option, there was a vendor on here who offered that service for people who could not bring themselves to do so. I can PM you the information if you would like to know more. Just let me know. As to the memory foam, if it's not completely white; it might be a good idea to use a white sheet between the doll and the foam to avoid staining her.
No matter how pretty she is, there is a guy out there somewhere who is tired of her shit!

I feel much better now that I've given up hope.

With regard to the last question there are people desperate for a doll in near any condition so please give her away! Three TPE dolls have come my way from an unknown manufacturer and I gave two away and sold the other for the cost only of the shipping. The recipients were very happy.

TPE however doesn't have the longevity of silicone.

The point about TPE is that theoretically it is more environmentally friendly as it need not land up in landfill . . . the whole point about it is that as a thermo polymer it can be melted down and used for something else, even for mould making for plaster casting.

And as for a skeleton - there are people making their own dolls who'd love to have a skeleton as a foundation.

Best wishes

thanks for the reply guys.

I am extremely uncomfortable with giving away a used sex doll. Not that i want to get rid of my sex doll as of this time, she's perfectly fine but i know in a few years the TPE material or something will wear and there will be a time when i need to dispose of it. In addition i dont know about you guys but ive been doing unspeakable things with my sex doll and morally to me at least i feel it is wrong to pass a used sex doll to someone else, even if they dont mind. Like giving drugs to a drug addict that wants his fix kinda situation. I wouldnt give someone else my used fleshlight, thats disgusting, i rather buy you a new one before i give you my old one, to me at least disposal is the only way to go, if i can bring myself to it :(

Stewie Studmuffin - can you give the name of the vendor who does this disposal service, i cannot be the only one thinking about the future when "the time comes" and im sure some other guy will search these forums for the same exact question that I am asking now. Better to have a name out in the open so anyone can go this route if need be.

I am certain that Martine reads the RLSD forums, yes im calling you out Martine. "Hi!"

It would be nice if this sex doll business of yours keeps growing that you offer this type of service, refurbishing or disposal. Maybe its a woman's touch but of all the sex doll websites out, you by far have the best presentation, a presentation style that ive noticed other vendors are imitating. A solution to the end of a sex doll's life i think is something needed within a few years. I have a feeling that for us sex doll owners, most of us probably cannot and will not cut up the doll ourselves. I would not be surprised if some of these dolls 10-20 years from now are hidden in some corner of a house because the owner simply cannot bear to get rid of them personally. There should be a clear solution to this problem.

I'd go with a proper burial, like you'd give a person. Drive her out into the country, pull off of the highway and give her a nice burial by some trees. It'll take all night, but it's the right thing to do. Don't assume it isn't a crime though...there may be state laws against burying plastic products as they could leach into the groundwater.

Giving away a doll is fine. Use hydrogen peroxide anywhere used for intimate contact, let it soak for at least 15 minutes. Then wash out with 90% medical alcohol or similar. Then keep with legs open for the hole to be open for two weeks to ventilate and dry out.

It also depends on how hygenically she's kept - whether one uses lubricants which are sticky and whether she's washed out and dried. Dolls with inserts of course are no problem.

The human race faces extinction from
a. war with each other
b. war with our planet.

Consumption and waste are part of that war with our planet and the only remedy is to be more discerning in how we consume, by to use, re-use, recycle and pass on in terms of "want not, waste not".

One only has to spend time in India to see the effectiveness of recycling, whether it be goats in the road sifting through rubbish to people making shoes out of car tyres. With this sort of attitude there are good uses to be found for unwanted dolls.

Best wishes

Hi mofmofmof! I sent you a PM with the vendor's name. I agree that this is very useful information and should be in the open. But the problem is since this thread is under the RLSD section and the other vendor is no longer listed on the forum, I didn't want to risk breaking any rules. Didn't want the moderators to yell at me and hurt my feelings. :( But I have no problem with it being public if someone says it's ok. :D

To the OP that last question is omg yes i was wondering the same thing also thinking the same about the giving it away deal gross right?? I mean...
I guess for those who watch porn it might look good for a guy to fuck a girl then you go in afterwards but think about it..... Kinda gross in reality.. Also not sure about you all but im a big fan of being her first... And last.. For the doll and their more bitchy counterparts
if i said something rude or offended someone there's a 98% chance i didn't mean to or am completely unaware i did so... Sorry unfortunately i can't do anything about it ( other than apologize to anyone who informed me i upset them) half of my old signature i felt was unnecessary so.

I am happy to be her first and hopefully last too! I think the idea of letting someone else who can't afford one is a very nice idea, I just don't know if I could let her be with someone else.... lol

Since no one will help you, my doll's head (a WM #74) is somewhere between 20 and 21cm tall (about 8") from top of skull to the jaw/neck line. This is a somewhat rough estimate, because the head is curved and my calipers set only extends to 6 inches so I had to make a best guess from my tailors tape.

Thus, one can deduce that a 155DD sans head is about 135cm tall, give or take a cm or two. This measurement should be close enough to find a suitable sized case or bag if that's the goal.

Also, DaveC has owned the same TPE doll for 13 years. And obviously, that means the doll's technology is 13 years old. Imagine how long a TPE doll made today might last if properly maintained. 15 years? 20 years? More? Silicone might last forever, but TPE can be made to last a very long time with care.

Unless the doll's exterior layer is disasterously damaged (burnt, melted, stained beyond repair) I imagine someone here on the forum would still pay at the least the shipping to take her off your hands, even if the problem is a broken skeleton or a very badly split fixed vagina. Only the horribly disfigured ones would be a tough sell I think, and even they might still hold some value just for spare pieces of TPE (I wish I had some more chunks for testing.) Until the buyers market becomes saturated, I can't think of any reason to dispose of a doll other than laziness.

There's always people looking for damaged dolls, even severely damaged dolls.

Not everyone even want dolls for sex. One of the more prolific doll repair experts I know does not. Some people just like having them around. I suspect some people even get satisfaction out of just repairing them.

While personally I have no interest in acquiring a used doll, as long as there are people that are it seems downright cruel to destroy one instead of giving it away. Plus if you really get attached to your doll it kinda gives a way for her to keep going- even if it's without you. She can be loved again and live on in someone else's life. Don't get me wrong, it's your doll and you can do whatever you want with her, but giving her away sounds better than the horrific experience of chopping her up for sure.

To handle your first question, WM,YL,OR (Jinsan) do make hard cases to order. Your vendor may not offer them on their site, but ask and they can get you one. I am awaiting my doll which I ordered with a hard case. The doll's production is complete, but the hard case is back ordered as they have changed supplier, but I will get one. It is delaying my order by a week or two, but I would rather it shipped in the case for added protection.

Point is, even if you don't see them advertised, you can still get them. All you have to do is ask your vendor.

Second question, you can always sell a damaged or old doll as a spare etc. Always someone who will take interest for a test doll for customization or spare parts etc

The way we could give her a good send off in the UK is wait for Guy Fawkes night dress her or him as Guy Fawkes and put her on the bomb fire, job done, getting back to the closet bar suspension kit I did put one in my wardrobe but when I came to take her head off it just keeps on turning and will not come off, so I don't put her away.
