sideways pics

Post by Ranmamale »

It seems some of the pics I upload are sideways, granted they were taken that way with my camera so I could get everything in the shot but show up normal right-side up when uploaded to my computer, but when I try to post them on the forum they are sideways. Any way I can correct this?

While adding photo on TDF.
Use the preview button , before you click submit.

That way you can then correct the image on your computer ...then upload again.

Other than doing this , I am not sure why an image would show sideways, on your computer, the rotate during upload.. .

IIRC, jpgs actually have a flag for what orientation the photo is.

His camera (cell phone?) may have recorded that info and whatever program his computer is using recognizes it.. but the forum does not.

Long story short: you'll need to manually rotate the images in a photo program and save (as a new file, as rotating then saving could degrade the image because saving in JPG is lossy)

I think I figured it out. I have to open the file with windows paint and then simply "save as" and use a different file name. Seems to be doing the trick so far.

all my pics have been sideways too. I'll try your save-as technique next time.

I've never had a problem with sideways pics until recently. On my laptop and phone they are oriented correctly. I was even able to upload correctly oriented photos onto xhamster. Yet TDF won't orient correctly? I had to download from xham and use those pics to upload toTDF.

I too have been seeing a lot of sideways pics recently.
. A link to our profile on Xhamster.
