Not sure why you are getting a strange smell from the wig/head. I have a 165+ and don't have any odor issues. I have the 2 wigs she shipped with and some cheap cosplay wigs I have used with no odors at all.

About the wig smell: I don't know it must be the wig. Maybe there is something in the cap that doesn't play well with plat silicone? I've had all kinds of wigs including cheap costume wigs and never noticed any smell. Do you use a wig cap? If not I would try that. It also protects against stains.
