Really, that's interesting. Guess the skeleton and foam leave pockets in the hips/lower butt for added flexibility or something. Feels like I learn something new about my doll every day.Virgin_Doll wrote:Yes, I guess because my doll has this too

i sent a email to Sanhui asking about the hollow spots. see what they say about it before i try to make any repairs. if you don't mind me asking what year is your sanhui, mine is a few months old, 2017 born.Virgin_Doll wrote:Only I do not know if this is normal because I have no other doll to compare

Re: Hollow spots on hips?
I do not know when she was made because she was actually made for someone else who canceled his order
All I know is that she owned me since 09/12/2016 and ordered on 08/24/2016
I hope for you that Sanhui will answer because I have been unable to get answers to my questions for a few months

are they still not answering emails? figure they would have gotten all that squared away by now. if i don't get anything today i will contact my original vendor and see if they can get a answer from sanhui about the doll.Virgin_Doll wrote:My doll is from mid 2016

Re: Hollow spots on hips?
so i just got a email back from sanhui, guess one of the ones i sent got through. they said to talk to my vendor, so i am guessing that hollow spots in the hips are not supposed to be there... interesting who we both have the same spots but your doll is from 2016.Virgin_Doll wrote:My doll is from mid 2016

Re: Hollow spots on hips?
the issue i see is that the hollow area will be more delicate, a puncture of the skin will be harder to repair without first filling in the empty space. as long as you are careful though i dont see it being a major problem, you have lived with it since 2016, and i have unknowingly lived with it for 3 months i just got the email from my vendor, sanhui will be shipping repair materials and instructions to me so i can fill the spots.Virgin_Doll wrote:Now I'm curious whether this is actually a problem in the long run

Re: Hollow spots on hips?
Can you just explain what you feel at this so-called hollow place?
I ask this question because I am beginning to doubt if there is a different description for what I experience.
With my doll, I have several places on my doll, like on her back and both upper legs.
It feels like the outer layer is loose.
Is this the description that fits your doll?

as you can see there is a clear difference between the hollow area and a solid area, the skin is alot easier to push in, and you can hear it stick to something on the inside. the solid are puts up alot more resistance and there is no sound. i do not have a spot on the back, only both hips.

i am still waiting for the repair materials, if you bought the doll from a vendor give them an email and see if they will work with you to get you repair materials.Virgin_Doll wrote:I can not see it with 100% certainty, but I think this is indeed the same.
