newbie question

Post by pepe4158 »

I was planning to buy a real doll when i saw this pleasure doll site

The first thing that struck me was how gorgeous some faces were,,,versus some real cartoonish unapealling ones....why such big differences

Then the big difference between this doll and a RD in price....is it a good doll in comparison so much cheaper?

If i buy will i be dissapointed in your opinion...is it close to the quality of a real doll (i have a 10 year old RD),as i really loved the face on one of the pleasure dolls....i forget which one

oh yeah molly was the pleasure doll....wow gorgeous and imo beats most RD faces

RD classic platinum silicon are very durable, feel nice, but not soft and stretchy like these new TPE dolls.

Maybe compare to a new RD2 with extra gel parts, except the whole TPE doll has a great gel feel.

Really amazed by the detail, material quality, variety of models and competitive prices.

Hard to choose, they both have adds and dis-adds.

For me, silicone is easier to repair and more durable, but I'm liking these new TPE dolls a lot.

I like my TPE doll. Very bouncy and realistic skin, especially after being powdered. They are a little more delicate but still fairly robust as long as you keep away from sharp things.

WM, YL and ORdoll all have interchangeable heads (depending on size) so you have a massive selection of heads to body combinations. (Also good if you fancy a change of head).

I have a YL 155 A cup (Darcey) which is about 6 month old now and I've had no problems with her. You can see her here on the YL lovers thread https://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtop ... 4&start=45

Thks DNA......well i have a older real doll, and they are REALLY hard to repair IMO.....so based on that i would actually go with a pleasure doll

You would think yea easy to repair, but the problem is nothing bonds to them, it has been fustrating as the damage to my doll is just becoming too much to bear....too bad she is really pretty but i gues ten years they start to degrade :/

real pretty doll cheeky.....yea makes me want to get the molly one

TPE can be a bit difficult to glue too. But mainly if its a bad copy using bad TPE.

The glue for TPE is a solvent so only a tiny amount is used to weld the cut/tear together.

It does work because Iv'e used it on a small cut on Darceys arm. The joint was invisible after.

thks cheeky

yea in that pic you can not see the damage, but its massive

vaginal area tears

1 tear in the stomach

finger design was the old 1 and flawed as the wire comes thru almost every finger

if i can get the body semi-custom i probably will go with the molly face on a slender body.......at appx 2k its a great price......becomming convinced i will like the pleasure doll more

Permatex flowable window sealent bonds well with both the tin and platinum silicone of real dolls. I use this for the strength bond component of my real doll repairs and then use the Abyss silicone tint kits to finish the top layers.

I recently did a sucessful full recore of my RD classic Natasha that is of simillar vintage to your real doll.

 OK...generally, if you are having a bond failure, that means that the repair site needs further preparation such as alcohol based spririts or solvents to remove oils, and even some light surface roughing to increase the bond area and ensure no contaminents are preventing adhesion. Be very careful using too much solvent on TPE though, and even with silicone, the area needs to be dry prior to sealent application.

For General TPE repairs - I use an art brush and Xylene -- Starting as far into the cut, rip, tear, wound, etc as you can and work slowly outward like you are painting. Hold the wound closed for several minutes before continuing. The Xylene will actually fuse the TPE back together, similar to a cold fusion. Just be patient and work slowly... and PLEASE, wear a face mask and use Xylene in a well ventilated area, as it is also highly flammable.

Xylene to clean the doll....a brush to keep the sylicone off my fingers?

yea am guessing i did not clean well enough, but RD molding is still hard to bond too. i am sure they make it that way on purpose to keep just anything from sticking to it, i have spilled super glue accidently and luckily it did NOT stick

oh wait....xylene is an adhesive huh?....it actually will stick to RD molding?....does it dry clear?

xylene is only an adhesive for tpe dolls, not for silicone dolls.

I wish you'd offer your current line of exclusive dolls in silicone!

BS
I can find the area under the curve, but I can't find my car in a parking lot!

I was once told "that's not possible", so I went out and did the impossible.

I fell in love with a doll...
