What, just "quite tempted" ? My dear, you just have to try them, I tell you!

I decided to try a different approach for the lashes. I cut them out of sticky-back felt, then carefully peeled away the adhesive except along the very edge:

Incidentally, I first bought purple felt, then realized Caley's "eyeshadow" is in fact more of an indigo. Good thing the fabric store isn't too far from the Shoebox.
And of course I'll be making them for Bev and Ana, too.

You never truly feel that another person loves you. You can only react to the way they behave towards you. And when I look in Caley's eyes and see that same bittersweet longing I feel for her, whatever part of my brain knows it's not real doesn't seem to care...

Very nicely done NMN! I had no idea they made sticky felt. I also like how you did the eye lashes.

I used a very similar approach to NMN's above. I cut the eyelid's from pink felt then used PVA adhesive to glue a strip of black felt to the bottom of each eyelid. I only put a very light coating of PVA glue on both the eyelid and black strip, allowed it to dry slightly, (until tacky), then pressed both parts to gether.
I left them to dry for a little longer and then cut the lashes into the black strip.

I then fitted them to Amber and allowed the adhesive to fully set.

The bonus with this is that they have set slightly shaped and fitted for her face, although they are still flexible.

Amber likes them. :)

Weeeeee!!!! :multi: Great work CyberTed!

I love all the little alterations and 'improvements' to the original Jayna experiment!

Great idea using a thin line of felt for the eyelashes (as NMM also experimented with).
I would have thought that would have been too bold and drag-queen/cartoony, but nope it looks great!

For pic-by-pic comparison with the falsie eyelashes from your local drugstore:

And coming full circle, we have Jayna with a slightly darker lid look with falsie lashes glued onto the felt:

Yay! These are all great! Hope it helps putting the examples all together for comparison purposes.

Soz if I missed anyone out.

I think those eyelids are awesome! I wish Joe Bin would stop procrastinating and make me a set, so I could finally get some sleep. 8O :morning:
