Going to get a TB Deluxe, need help on deciding which one

Hi folks, haven't been here in a while.

I'm going to get a Teddy Babe Deluxe but I'm not sure which one. Is there any place I can go that has pictures of all the latest deluxe model faces? I've tried to search on my own and from what I've found they are now being made with a different material, and there may be other differences. I'd like to be able to compare all the current deluxe model faces. I can find a few here and there but I'm wondering if there's any place that has all of them. Even the website seems to only have pictures of the old ones, and some of the pictures are skewed.

I agonized over that for a long time. The more I think about it though, the more I suspect there's no wrong decision. As unbelievably happy I am with my Audrey, I'm sure if I went with a different one I'd be just as enchanted with her too.

Definitely a tough decision! I think Bianca would be my first choice. Although I tend to go back and forth between her and several of the others. But like JackieTreehorn said, there is no wrong choice. I'm sure you will love whichever one you decide on.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I should've prefaced this by saying that I've owned a Vicky Standard since about 2008. As great as the WM Shannon doll in my signature is a TB still has tons of advantages. You don't have to worry about a TB being too cold (didn't bother me in summer but wow does it make a difference in winter). And of course the weight makes a huge difference for positions and other uses.

@Zang: Thank you very much for that picture grid! Definitely makes comparing the pictures from the site easier. From looking at the pictures that the members here have provided they can look different than those pictures though, so I want to try to see exactly what I'll be getting. Like for example, you can't see the seems on the doll's faces. And a lot of the pics are stretched to make them look thinner. Also there's a huge difference in the skin tone, though I understand it's probably the lighting.

So from doing further research this is what I've found, please correct any of this if it's wrong or add something if It's not there:

- the "skin" is made from new material
- heads are more oval shaped (this is actually what I prefer, or better yet a slim V shaped head rather than the huge round heads on the older models)

I'm not sure exactly when these changes took place. I visited the 8th Wonder TB store every so often and the pics of the deluxe models look like the same ones I've always seen. I'm trying to only find the latest pictures of deluxe models. I'm searching through the doll albums, the doll matrix, and these forums but I can't always tell if I'm looking at an older or newer model. So far from what I've found the Audrey, Sonya, and Bianca models stick out. I was considering Lisa but the in-hand pics look very different than the site, more so than the other dolls. Still have a lot of searching to do.

One more question. Has the wig shipped with the dolls improved? And does the wig look like the ones pictured on the TB site? When I got my Vicky a long time ago the wig was the lowest quality possible and didn't look like the ones from the pictures on the TB site. I wasn't expecting kanekalon fiber but it literally felt like straw and stayed that way, no matter how much oil sheen/conditioner, combing, and washing was done to it. The wig that came with my WM doll wasn't the highest quality either but it was leagues better and could be similar to a kanekalon if maintained.

I know what you mean about how you can't see the seams on the website pictures, but even beyond that there seems to be a little variance between every individual Teddy Babe. The ones with lots of pictures on this forum I'm pretty confident I could pick them out of a lineup of like models even if they were bald (obviously the wig makes it easy otherwise).

I'm not expert, but I thought the wig my Audrey came with seemed decent, however, being the Audrey wig, it's VERY long so she hasn't worn it much just because it's too tough to keep maintained. Plus I think there's some stupid part of me that wants to "save" her original wig... I don't know why really, just a quirk I guess.

Her other wigs I guess I kinda like better though, but I don't know if it's a quality thing or just stylistic. Her original wig kinda has an 1980's bangs thing going on that is more evident in person than in the pictures. It's not like it's terrible, but... maybe not my first pick.

I just got her a few months ago, so preemptively she's a current generation model. She's the only Teddy Babe I've ever had though, so I can't really give you any comparative testimony, but I'm sure there's people here who can.
