Melody came out today to play and wanted to model. She's started calling me daddy lately and I've been calling her my baby girl. Before she posed I gave her a good brushing and powdered her down.

Melody's 3 week review:
Joe - you did a fantastic job. I found that the doll becomes easier to pose with time once you figure out how her joints work. I'm still trying to master getting her eyes posed the way I want - but figure that's just a learning curve too. No finger pokes (I am careful thanks to everyone's advice), and the baby powder works like a charm and gives her a silky smooth feeling. I tried the electric blanket thing - felt like too much work, and my house isn't all that cold anyhow. Breasts are still firm, hoping they will soften with time. Insert is in great shape, though wish it felt more like a flashlight (I think those guys mastered what a vagina feels like). If I had to rate the insert vs the fleshlight just on feel - the insert would get a 6 and a fleshlight a 10. However, when you compare the WHOLE experience of the doll vs the fleshlight, the fleshlight becomes a pitiful 4 (I'd rather use my hand) and the doll becomes a 10. Doll vs real woman? Doll gets an 8, Woman (good looking - hot in bed) gets a 10. Woman (unimaginative in bed or just plain awful) Doll still gets an 8, woman gets a zero (what was I thinking!)

LOL - something just happened... was walking into the bedroom to compare the fleshlight to the insert for size, came back to the living room and forgot Melody was there... almost jumped out of my skin - lol

I only had that happen to me once when I left Sharon sitting in the kitchen for the day came back home after dark so the whole house is dark and walked into the kitchen and flipped the light switch on well needless to say I got the scare of my life.

Having owned life-size dolls since 2000, it still happens to me very occasionally. Last year I put one of my dolls in the car for a location photo shoot. I closed the front door to the house and, as I turned to go to the car, the sight of someone sitting in the passenger seat triggered that sub-conscious neural alarm.

A sort of self-diagnosis seems to start automatically, like the proverbial sanity check in sci-fi computers. How could somebody have gotten into my car that quickly without me noticing and without the sound of the car door opening and closing? Those questions do not have time to fully surface, but the 'sensation' of the neural alarm takes several seconds to subside. I then have to tell myself to stop the self-diagnosis program because I know the answer.

That answer (that I just loaded the doll in the car) does not easily satisfy that sub-conscious process, however.

Melody looks soooooo great. Boytoys have that effect. Agnetha spends a lot of time on her stand in the bedroom and despite seeing her everyday it's when I dress her for pics she still startles me on opening the door and seeing her.

It is fun when you have the freedom to leave your doll or dolls in the house poised in a chair, couch,bed in various stages of dress or lack of. To come home to find them waiting for you.At first startled, then laugh and maybe grab your camera.

I'm jealous. Way too many opportuntiies for "odd" discoveries in my house. But I'm glad you have that luxury. Awesome pictures.
