my (it is now good afterall) experience with SRSD

I did lots of research. It is (will be once here) my 1st doll ever. Z-doll full silicone seems like best option, 138cm. I liked SRSD website best.

So I "pulled the trigger" on 20%SALE on 29th of June, and replied to confirmation email next day 30th (SRSD wanted to make sure order is how I wanted it,very good idea from them).

1st I must say I really appreciate David's help, very patience, responsive and nice helpful person. And Joe was contacting me also.

On website it states "manufacturing about 10 days, and shipping another 10 days". So doll suppose to be here by this friday, 21 days,if my math is correct

It has been 19 DAYS and I haven't gotten email with pictures of her and shipment info. I get lots of 20% off emails though.

So I asked Joe and David 6 days ago and only David replied (right away) with not happy news: "6 more days for manufacturing" ???

So today being 6th (more) day got email from another person by name Lina saying :"please bear with me as I want to have some pictures for you between today and tomorrow so we can ship it this week"

Not what I was expecting. Not good experience.

Lina is the CEO of our company and you case was escalate to her and she got involved to get it ready asap, because we care about our customer and want to provide the best service and experience.

Hi Tao_doll, welcome to TDF.

Please relax a little bit and try to have some patience. I realise you don't have experience in these matters, but to me there is absolutely nothing to complain about here. You've received enough communications and everything seems absolutely fine to me. I mean this is 21 days, and you were expecting 21 days. As you can see, SRSD has already(within 2 minutes) replied to calm you down.

Please allow for real world delays and a very normal production and shipping window of time. You might need to wait another two weeks and that would still be nothing to gripe about. If you only knew what some people actually go through to get their dolls, waiting months and indeed sometimes over a year for their dolls..

So, please read some more topics on these forums, and get acquainted with how things really work before complaining things aren't going well.

I was so grateful to receive a Thank You email from the CEO of SRSD after I placed my order; such business etiquette. I was also impressed with the continuous communication updates from SRSD. My experience has thus far been positive and I just took delivery, but have not had an opportunity to see my new friend yet. I'm sure there are unexpected manufacturing delays that may occur from time to time. I will be providing my complete 5-start review for SRSD's business end of things in the appropriate TDF thread.

Hang in there Tao_doll - You have selected a great vendor in my opinion.

SRSD is very active on the Forum and respected for coming through for customers. Keep in mind, some things out of a vendor's control (like customs checks) can delay a parcel in transit.

As anyone who has ordered a doll will tell you, waiting for your girl to arrive can be overpowering. If you are anxious, you have every reason to be - your world is about to be rocked, in a good way!

To reiterate what others are saying, you purchased from a trusted company. I've not bought from them (I don't presently own a doll), but their reputation is top notch. You should be in good hands.

Please continue to inform us all of updates.

I'd not complain if it wouldn't state on their website about 20 days. about 10 for manufacturing and 10 for shipping. Sounds good. But it had been 19 days and she hasn't been even made yet.
Some other user said they got doll in 2 and half weeks. Mine as almost 3,still in process.

I didn't know that when someone says about 20 days it means 30 or more (hopefully not).

But also I don't want to push manufacturing and got "lame" job either. I just don't understand this. SRSD should state real time on their website. If I knew I'd probably order straight from Z-doll even though it is more $.

That's why I complain. If I give my client estimate Ill do job next week and would come weeks later I wouldn't be in a business. That's all.

You're new so you didn't know that dolls is a waiting game and published times is just a loose guideline. We forgive you.

WOW...I will not be selling you a Silica custom doll...these can be 6 to 12 months

A month can be par, sometimes if the doll comes out with defects (can take a week to mold and finish a TPE doll), the company will shred the doll, recycle the tpe, and redo the doll over from scratch to ensure that you get a quality product.

Unlike a supermarket, factories do not always have multiple copies of the same model just sitting on the shelf, especially if it is one of the lower sales volume or rarer lines, so the make these once the order is received...Just like McDonald's does now

One comment on shipping. Mine sailed through customs this week and arrived in four days. Left China on their Monday morning and I received it Wednesday.The 10 days stated may be to allow for any delays. Don't give up hope, you may get lucky.

My doll is held hostage in the Netherlands by UPS perverts, until the customs are cleared. Rough estimate 7-9 days. All I can do is to bash my head into the wall !

Knowing just a few things about how silicone dolls are made, I'm surprised that the production period is reported to be just a couple of days. Just doing the makeup would be a project for me.

For sure, if the degassing unit sprung a leak, it could take at least a day to get things back into operation. I don't even want to think about what kind if delay would be caused if a rotocast component needed fixing.

I just thought about 10 days is about 10 days,but I just saw 1st pictures of her

Now once I see shipping info I'll relief, still praying for smooth quick delivery and that she'll be in great shape. I'll share pix once here
