Factory visit - Jinsan (WM doll manufacturer)

There are reports that Jinshan is so overwhelmed by orders, they are becoming sloppy, and some dolls with defects have been sent to customers.

Did you see anything to suggest they are improving quality control?

Also, good tour shots and nice use of the SSD logo in the images to show you guys were there.

I guess that the industrial plant side was off the tour or is off site, as the images more show the resting, storage and finishing areas, rather than the vats, injection molding plant and equipment, as this would probably be a safety critical area requiring authorised access only, but a good post!

Taking photos in some areas are prohibited including the moulding room. Most departments are actually in the same factory plant. Jinsan has another plant that is bigger tho, we will plan a visit as well.

Regarding their quality control, I would say their QC is pretty consistent. I think the communication between the factory and the vendor is also important. it's true that their orders are increasing, but at the same time they are also expanding their factory and productivity.

I agree with CF here, as long as quantity doesn't overcome quality there should be no issue with expansion. It's vendors like yourselves that need to keep them on their toes and not sit back and let their quality slip. One poor quality doll sent to a TDF member can have serious repercussions! They need to be constantly reminded of that!

As much as I'd like to have one of these dolls, I'm imagining that one of the last places on earth I would want to work is in the manufacturing area of a doll factory.
