Do i need to get worried about UPS?

UPS doesn't give us any choice for "priority freight" or "non priority freight for the DDP shipping. If we have such choice, we must let our customers to choose. But the fact is that we don't have such choice. At least UPS doesn't let us know the choice of the so called priority freight.

We have talked to UPS, they don't explain it in details but UPS imply it's because there are so many DDP deliveries that are waiting to clear the tax before leaving their facility. It may take longer time if the DDP shipments piling up. Please understand that this is out of our control.

7 days is average delivery time for non-DDP shipping. If customers choose DDP service, it'd be longer than the average day. We'd inform our customers for the longer delivery time if they need this service. I'm sorry that the shipment interrupts your scheule. Your kind comment is important for us to improve our service.

Isaac did offer you an option before shipping that we hold the shipment until you are back from your work trip. Please let us know if you'd still consider this service.

Firstly as I say ive no issue and ive full faith in both yourself and isaac as your professional attitude during my order has been first rate and i would happily recommend ssd to anyone considering buying a doll and yes isaac did offer me this option but as i told you ive worked in and seen first hand what happens to packages left at these large parcel couriers for several days and ups has a very very bad package damage and claim rate these parcels left in storage at parcel couriers get smashed really bad and im not going to leave a £1600 investment for over a week at ups lol no chance

It should be now at the EU custom. EU custom is know for the inefficiency of tax collecting. It always takes days to finish.

All our dolls are shipped once being confirmed. We won't allow couriers keep the dolls in storage for several days without shipping out.

EU custom is not the worst. The worst are Canadian and AU custom. US custom is the best.

It can be at EU but the tax is not yet cleared. The tracking only shows up after tax clearance.

The way i see it is this: UPS waits till they have a plane full of random parcels from different vendors to fly out from Hong Kong towards Europe. Would be a lot pricier if they flew one of their planes with only the one doll-package in it.

On a sidenote: i noticed in the OP that the weight from his parcel is 33kg, while mine states 37,5kg ... i'm worried since the 6YE doll i ordered clearly stated 28,5kg with head. I cannot imagine the weight of the cardboard box and the polystyrene to be 9kg.

The shipping cost of DDU and DDP (Delivered Duty Unpaid and Delivered Duty Paid) are the same. Usually the DDU shipping is fast and always on time. I don't think UPS would wait till they have a plane full of random parcels just for DDP shipping products. If this is the case, why DDU shipping can be faster? Tax clearance process is the cause from my understanding.

I just want to clarify one point neither myself or my friend waiting for his sexy beauty are in any way trying to imply anything towards isaac and SSD their professional attitude speaks for itself and is a fine example of a competent vendor my issue lies with ups and I understand this is out of your control I was just making the point that I know the process way better than you guys do having worked in the industry at a management level on imports and exports for over 10 years and ive never known such a service where parcels of this value ate untraceable for such a large journey as ive stated at the very least all parcels have to scanned into the hub and out of the hub thus creating a tracking history but i understand this is in no way anything you have control over and ive nothing but praise for SSD and your fantastic commitment and help during this process

Just got this info through some contacts i have in the parcel industry bad news for my little cutie it seems longer held more chance of serious damage

just phoned customs and they said it will be 2 & 1/2 weeks and then phone ups and they said 1 week because there is a delay

the usps service i used delivery said 6-10 days
