"Ruby 13" is interested in working with a qualified freelance makeup artist with knowledge of applying permanent makeup on silicone dolls! We're located in the Huntington Beach area of So. Cal. [45 minutes South of Los Angeles] and would prefer working with a local artist. If you have photos of your work and find this agreeable, contact Don @ Ruby 13, either by Email or phone.

Thanx...Don/R13 714-655-6647 [after 10:00 a.m.] :)

Just messing with ya

Good luck on the search! There has to be someone around that is skilled as a makeup artist.

Don,
This is great news for those that are 'make up' challenged!

You should have Sita (she's friends with your son and me) recommend someone to you. She has worked with some of the best make up artists in California.

I can always ask her for you, if you'd like.

xoxo
:)

Stacy:
You're the reason I posted this thread in the first place...the last close-up photos of your Heather stopped me dead in my tracks! I know most folks will be happy with the makeup we offer here, especially those who like to change their girls appearance, but we do have the occasional request for the permanent makeup process...I'm just curious as to whether or not it's as permanent as I've been led to believe...."Who better to ask than you?!" By all means, if you know of someone you trust in this area, ask them to give me a call!

Gracias Amiga...Don/R-13

Darn it! I knew the perfect woman for the job, but lost touch with her over a decade ago. I heard through a mutual friend that she moved east (Chicago?) and got married. She lived in Newport Beach, painted for fun, and paid her bills doing permanent make-up. As a bonus, she was very easy on the eyes (she looked like Nastassja Kinski). Good luck with your search.

Cheers,
r4m

Permanent makeup as an option, sounds like a great idea.
Good luck with your search Don!

I think a make up class (for us "dumb males") would be a good idea for the doll meet too. Any takers?

No. I'll just take my mannequin back to the mannequin restorer when neccesary. They'll respray her and put on new make-up.
I live near Manhattan, where there are plenty of mannequin restorers.
I could also take her to a beauty parlor.
If I try to attempt the make-up myself, it might end up looking like Tammy Faye Baker or someone from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Don,
i might just have to train for that job. art is in my blood. how to make it permanent on silicone is the trick. not easy to get the subtle effects of real makeup with anything else. seal it on to the silicone? not easy ,possible?perhaps.

Heh heh... Good that you went through this. Seriously I'd pay extra for someone talented like Stacy to do the makeup. If I had one of my dollies heads they way Stacy does them.

De-ha-ya-em.

Now a little more technical.

I think you'll really be able to extend your vision working with someone talented in this field.

There's many reasons I think this is good for you and your customers:

(1) There are many better at makeup than me and I don't have the time now to learn. I don't want good (me), I want great.
(2) Makeup and sex is messy. I don't like getting lipstick all over me, from my doll or girlfriend. Blush on my bedsheets would bum me out.
(3) It's not a question of "if"; it's already been done. There are great examples of permanent makeup on dolls already. I have some from Abyss and 4Woods and you can see plenty of them on this forum. Whether stuff like lipstick wears off in time is moot because it's certainly going to wear off faster on a non-perm job. The only place I've had the coloration wear off is the lips and nipples (wonder why) and it's a once a year or less redo and certainly less technical than redoing the whole thing. No big whoop.
(4) Some people may have a medical condition (tremor, reduced vision, etc) which may make redoing makeup difficult.
(5) We're dealing with men and makeup. :D Not an area most of us have any experience. I think you'll be surprised by the response to having it done once, done well and done by someone else.

...and best of all whoever wants to do it themself still can!

It was good talking to you Friday. I'm glad we could toss this subject around then.

I so wish I could apply, but I am stuck in Colorado. I do a lot of work with resin dolls, and I'm quite good at dramatic, natural appearing work. I have about 5 years of experience with the resin dolls, but alas, none with silicon.

Ah well. It is nice to dream about someday working with these dolls for a living.

Your reason #2 sez you don't like gettin' messy 'tween the sheets..."That's half the fun, lip stick, whip cream, honey, warm liquid chocolate, etc! Hell, take the whole fruit basket to bed with you, she's bound to like some of it! The trick is to not fall asleep afterwards til morning...you'll be sticking to everything you slept with....."EVERYTHING!!!"

Just pullin' yer laig....Don/R13
