Interesting you should notice that. Whilst it somehow is an attractive feature I do not know why it was incorporated as it moves the vagina further back to the detriment (not unacceptably so but very nearly) of easy access - in the sense ones erect penis is forced down away from ones tummy.
It is always more comfortable if ones erect member is lifted up more parallel to ones stomach than at 90 degrees or greater.
