It would be desirable to hear people opinion - why torso, instead of a doll?

I do not know what kind of torso do you mean but I am tinking about a "full torso" with head. Like this but NOT "flat-back":
Image "Realdoll Flat-back" from http://www.realdoll.com

I never had a torso but I have a Realdoll. I think I would appreciate some benefits of a torso:
Light, easy to move
Smaller, easy to store
Handleable, no arms and legs that is all over the place
Durable, no fragile fingers, elbows, feets to worry about
Easier cuddling, lower weight and less limbs makes that you can "roll around" more than with a full doll
Easier to sleep with, no need to be nervous about fragile hands

I guess that the mental companionship is as good as with a full doll
You can still dress it nice(and dressing is easier)

Disadvantages for a torso:
Not as good photo-model as a full doll
Not look as real as a full doll(maybe less sexy)
Cuddling involving hands and feet impossible
Maybe more limited in sex-positions(maybe less limited  )

This is only what I think or guess. I never had a torso but I want one! Not INSTEAD of a full doll but a torso AND a full doll
Anatomical doll Body 2 Face 7 would be NICE!!! 8O

What about a doll with removable limbs held in place with pins - orderable with or without limbs? It would be easy to move about, hide and store and could be used both as a torso and a full doll.

The cost price of such doll will be more, than a usual full doll. :(

Well, some would just want the torso part which would be cheaper. But how much more do you think a torso+limbs would cost than an ordinary full doll?

Great topic. Thanks for asking.
I've considered a torso because of:

- the lighter weight
- it's easier to store
- it's easier to warm up, powder, etc
- better time utilization
- less cost then a whole doll
- all the relevant parts are present
- you can call her Helena  X 2

Perhaps to some, but the attachment area on the doll is easy to hide where the limbs attach to the torso, just like with a mannequin. Only when naked, uncovered, can you see the area that the limbs connect to. I have no problem with seeing my mannequin naked like that, or clothed.
This way a person can buy the torso, then later the limbs, or by whole and be able to disassemble her for easier storage, etc.

I am in FULL SUPPORT FOR A TORSO that does NOT have a FLAT BACK. Who in the hell would what a flat ass, and a back that is flat, not sexily arched? Not me. :shakefist:
