I see the german site of robolink maker (it's made in germany)
it use a Bowden cable that is a moving machine element to transmit a mechanical movement or a pulling force through a combination of a wire and a casing sturdy in the running direction
Bowden cable was named after its inventor Ernest Monnington Bowden
very good joint

So would it work on a doll manually?

With the exception of the nuts and bolts and aluminum tubing, I seriously doubt you are going to find those parts anywhere.
I'm pretty sure that most of those parts are custom fabricated or rapid prototyped from a custom design. The pelvis design looks like it may be laser cut.

If you have computer design skills you might be able to replicate some of them fairly closely and have them machined from your cad drawings, which is probably what they did.

The only suggestion I can give you is to ask that to doll makers.
