Tolerance is fine for the prints, the insert cap and the waist flange fit perfectly.

For some reason, the hub cap seems to come out too small so I'll check it tonight, just printing
her top parts now...
Yep, I just checked and it is too small, lol.
Sorry about that.
I must have saved it in inches instead of mm, so just scale it up by 25.4.

BTW, did you get the leg cups with the rubber pad recesses?

Thought that was the case, not a problem :)

I did get the leg cups and have sourced the anti skid pads at Walmart so will pick up later this week.

MSB arrived in the mall so all ready to go with modification... hee hee

Up to thirty (30) parts now printed and that is just for one side... I'll post a pic of all the 3D parts once completed so everyone
can get an idea of how much work this entails - read: go buy a 3D printer

LOL, yes indeed you need to have your own printer for this project.
Printing this at Shapeways would probably cost more than a Realdoll!

BTW, SF is printing some parts that I have not posted publicly - namely the knee joint, calf and high heel shoe feet which require quite a few small pieces.

Well here are all the parts printed out! Just to show what this entails, quantity of fifty-three (53) parts not including the various templates. Total
print time is estimated around 122 hours / 5.5 days non-stop with a consumption of half a kilometre of PLA 1.75 mm "White" filament.

I just have the knee templates to complete then can start disassembly and fabrication of the donor body.

Again, I have to compliment MF on the great design, other than a few printing issues, all the parts turned out great. You may notice a slight colour difference in
some of the parts, supposedly the same material (MG Chemicals) but obviously a difference between what they ship as a 0.5 kg reel versus the 1.0 kg reel.

Any questions regarding the printing, let me know!

Hehe! Cool! :D

Thanks for doing this SF! Can't wait to see how it goes with the MSB.
Let me know when you start the mod process - I'll be happy to help any way I can along the way.

So that's less than 2 - 1kg rolls of filament (+/-400m per roll). Not too bad.

BTW, I found some flesh colored filament in both PLA and ABS at Gearbest...
ABS: https://www.gearbest.com/3d-printer-sup ... tml?wid=21
PLA: https://www.gearbest.com/3d-printer-sup ... tml?wid=21

The COMPLEXION color is available with both ABS and PLA.

This is a great layout SF - thanks again for taking the time to do this. :D
Just to clarify, the parts I have publicly posted are marked with an asterisk. The other pieces are for the knee, lower leg and shoe feet which I haven't publicly posted.
So if you're just wanting to make the MSB Fleshlight usable and give her some boobs you won't need all the parts shown.

BTW, the Sex In A Can Fleshlight is being sold again now at the FL website!
They must have got some flack for discontinuing it a while back.

Progress so far:

Disassembly of donor body / parts

Here's initial assembly before glue, all cuts made using a hot knife option on
my Weller soldering gun. Doesn't look like a lot but that's a lot of work just
getting to this point with sanding, trimming, setting up a jig on my scroll saw
to make dowel pins, etc...

More progress pics.

Here are all the components mounted, most of the blending in has been done but still some touch-up to do before primer
and paint. I'm going to match the colour of the arms to blend everything in.

As mentioned before, I believe the neck is a little long so planning on modifying it with a ball socket and bring the length
down to a more "realistic" look.

Height has increased over 6 inches to about approx. 44 inches tall.

For this first attempt, I'm going to leave it stock and add the animatronics to the next one. I am planning on adding a random
.wav application running on a Raspberry Pi to add audio, brushing up on my Python programming skills now!

As well, I am also making some custom lingerie so she should look pretty good the next time I post pictures.

Hehe, outstanding SF!!!

ImageImage

Legs and shoes look great! LOL that's the first time I've seen them all together. I've only printed one knee joint and shoe foot just to make sure everything worked.

Any problems with the parts fitting your MSB? Were you able to get the ankle joint parts working good? Those are pretty close tolerance pieces.
What did you use to glue everything together?

Do you have your own plans for the shoulder joints?
Not sure if you were still wanting the joint I posted a ways back.
This was an early idea for Abby's arms that I never went ahead with. The arm profile won't match the MSB so I would need to redo it. I have no idea how well it would hold a pose since I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks very much, MF!

It was a bit tricky mounting the knee joints but Bondo works great :)

Ankle joints work great, my initial print was at 0.1 mm but I tried it at 0.2 mm for the layer and it didn't
seem to make much difference.

For "quick" hold and glue, I used 5 minute epoxy from Gorilla, but for the rest, I use 15 min epoxy resin from Bob Smith Industries so I had a longer
cure time to set up key components like the waist flange and the leg cups, for example. Other than Bondo for filling in the gap at the knee, I'm also
using Deluxe Materials's Perfect Plastic Putty, you could also use Milliput but the DM putty is single stage so no mixing plus it's white...

I have no plans for the shoulder joints but would really like to try out your design as the vinyl (?) flanges on the arms ripped a bit when I removed
them, even though I used a heat gun to warm everything up (I believe they were initially heat pressed-in by the factory).

The build has been a lot of fun so far, the modification "works" in physical appearance so it should really pop once I get paint and finishing details done.
A really good show case for your design talents!

So if you can, would you please send me the files for your shoulder joint.

Hey SF, glad to hear you're having fun with this! :D

One brand of putty/adhesive I've fallen in love with is Apoxie. Not sure if you can get it where you are, but the stuff works great for this kind of thing.
Apoxie Sculpt is similar to epoxy putty, but more workable and clay like.
Apoxie Paste is thinner and more spreadable - kind of like peanut butter, and makes a great adhesive.
https://www.avesstudio.com/shop/apoxie-sculpt/
https://www.avesstudio.com/shop/apoxie-paste/

What's really nice is that both can used together where you have a large gap to fill like the knee joint.
For the knee I would put a few ropes of sculpt in the leg, press the knee joint in to form a socket and remove, then spread some paste on the joint and insert it back into the sculpt. The paste and sculpt both have the same chemical makeup and cure time so they work well together. It's also non toxic which is another nice thing.

I tried looking for Apoxie but couldn't source it up here :(

So I'm going to try an animatronic neck movement after all if my design for the modified neck works out.

I'm planning on having her painted by this weekend, just finished the shoes in black and they look good, just
have to add the gloss now...

If I get really ambitious, I'll probably repaint her face, you know, I keep thinking up cool options to add and
it just gets more complex but it'll be worth it

Sounds cool SF!
I think Aves ships outside U.S., you just need to email them to order.

Here's the shoulder joint design. I'm printing the magnet cup part now to test.
It uses the same magnets that the hips use, and you'll need the 2" diam. steel balls from King metals.

You'll need to enlarge the arm hole in the body to about 2-1/16" (52mm) diameter.
It's a bit of a pain - there are some connector posts just inside the hole you'll have to cut or grind off.
I used a heated putty knife to cut the arm which worked pretty well for a nice square cut.
