Well I have no idea what this type of work would cost so no.
Of all the human labour and time, I can say it won't be cheap. I would say don't expect a two digit figure.

DD it's too bad you couldn't get a hold of a little Afinia printer (or UP Plus 2 in your area).
Afinia is selling the H480 now for $800.
BuMat Elite Dreamer is the best filament I've used so far and it's fairly inexpensive at $29 for a 700 gram spool.
I could send you .UPP files with all the print settings. All you would have to do is load the files and print. :)

There are a few similar printers over here but looking at the projects I'm and will be involved with, most likely buying the printer will be just for making the MSB :(

Hi Anton,

If you're asking about the MSB mod, I don't have a finished example to show you.
I received an MSB from Samara a while back with the intention of completing the mod, but I just haven't had one minute lately to work on it.
I've done enough to know it works, just haven't had the time to complete one myself.
I was hoping that someone out there with a printer would give it a try and post, but nothing so far.

If you are asking about the Abby doll, she is still a work in progress. Same story - Just haven't had time lately to work on it.
Eventually I'm planning on possibly offering Abby as a kit or print it yourself kit, but certain things still need refinement.
Here's some one-armed images, lol, but I think you can get the picture.
(right arm is done now, just haven't had time to take more photos)

Excellent work thank you, I am certainly inspired enough to begin searching for a 3D printer.I am rather interested in printing the file you have for the doll that takes a fleshlite. Are these printers any good for making a doll skeleton I wonder. Making a doll of the super dollfie appeals due to the number of clothes available and the portability.

The only files I have for download at this time are the ones in this thread for the MSB.
I don't have Abby available as yet, but the MSB pelvis design is similar.

I think the Super Dolfie is only around 2 feet tall. Abby and the MSB are 38" to 39" tall so SD clothes wouldn't fit. However there are some sellers on ebay that make MSB clothing.

Keep in mind that 3d prints are kind of like wood in that they have a grain (layers).
Like wood the prints are strong in the direction of the plastic strands, but relatively weak the other way.
For a large doll with a skeleton, bones would be far better made from pipe or tubes than 3d printed, and metal joints would most likely be a must.

I was thinking more along the lines of using the 3D printer for creating molds for skeleton parts rather than a complete skeleton.

Hi ML, I've just joined the forum and would like to take this on as a project. I dabble in robotics and currently have a few projects on the go including reproducing
Gwendolyn from "Rick and Morty" to fit onto a Meiki Plush Doll as well as a 60" tall female robot character from a very popular video game series.

In way of introduction, I have an electronics and mechanical engineering background as well as design including sculpting so this project would be a great basis for a couple of designs I wanted to recreate.

I've downloaded all your posted .stl files, I was wondering if you could make available your knee joint, shoulder joint and high heel / foot files?

My workshop has a Rostock Max V2 3D printer so I can accommodate very large prints, as well, I also have a Shapeoko 3 CNC 3-axis mill as well as my Taig micro lathe (I make miniature electronic components for prototyping in the automobile industry).

Looking forward to hearing from you and I assure everyone I will post pictures of my progress as well as my other projects.

Plan this weekend is try printing the hip assembly entirely as I believe my Rostock delta printer can accommodate.

Interesting to note that Barbie was inspired by Bild Lilli who was a sexy character developed for a German newspaper.
Lots of info on the Internet on Bild Lilli and I may try recreating the head design in Fusion 360 if I can get a copy to
scan...

So we're actually returning this to her roots!

Here are some character designs I'm contemplating using the MSB to recreate:

- Virtual Valerie 2
- Bild Lilli (original German gag toy which inspired Barbie)
- Femlin (Playboy mascot)
- Haydee (from the Valve game)

I'm going to model up VV2's head based on earlier notes I made back in the day in Blender, and try and recreate
that earlier 90's era low-polygon look.

YAY! Image

Thanks SF! Cool to see someone finally trying this!
Prints look great!
The waist flange and insert cap are a fairly close fit. How is that working with your prints?

Virtual Valerie should be cool - she just needs a 3d printed motorcycle!

Seeing as I'm a motorcyclist, I totally agree

Tolerance is fine for the prints, the insert cap and the waist flange fit perfectly.

For some reason, the hub cap seems to come out too small so I'll check it tonight, just printing
her top parts now...
