I dont know where I first heard about this idea, but recently I've been thinking and when Karrot starts thinking Patchlings usually scatter for cover.....

So....

A super cheap pillow speaker from Ebay, a heart beat recording on my phone (edited to run for 12 minutes and loop) and my girls get a heart beat I can hear (and feel). Simply slip the speaker under their top and lay your ear against it to hear their love filled hearts beating.

I just spent 10 minutes cuddling Jess, revelling in this.

While you're at it you could give her some respiratory function as well.

The only thing with them is they are external breathing sounds. The idea was to use softer 'internal' sounds as the volume is extremely low, so you would need a recording of breathing as heard through a stethoscope.

The only down side I've found so far is when I forget to put the player on loop and Jess' heart suddenly stops when Im listening to it. slightly unnerving.......

OMG! You just gave me a great idea!! Besides the F-Mode in my app, I can actually add a "S-Mode" for looping and random sleeping sound! Most of the coding is already done!
