Country Girl
Still, she got to stay in a Motel 6 in Grants Pass the other evening (I sure know how to treat the ladies, don't I? ) and she's getting a lot of care and attention from my friend's daughter down here in SF - plus she gets a great view of the city out the window of the apartment.
Here she is in warmer, dryer days earlier this month up north of the border.
Hope to post some more photos of the trip in a few weeks when I get back.

Thanks Szalinski - but you have to be in it to win it - no point supposing coulda woulda shouldaSzalinski wrote:Oh man, this would have beaten my entry out hands down!
Sadly I have no direct internet access when I'm out in Canada (good for getting away from it all and getting stuck into rewrites and general creative stuff) - not so good for finding out what the new contest is or, indeed, which category BJDs are in this month
This was my first opportunity with the time, the "right" doll, and of course the opportunity to utilise some great scenery.
I've wanted a ball-jointed doll for ages and, fortunately, 'mission' was looking to give his two tonner girls a new home with an offer I couldn't turn down (I am dead jealous of his collection, by the way)
I'm very pleased with the photos - FTR I was just using a Sony Cybershot (7.2 megapixels) and just reducing the pics with minimal tidying up. The only drawback with the auto-focus is you have to keep the principal in the centre of the pic, otherwise you get blurry foreground and pinpoint detail in the background.
I'm perfectly happy to put a BJD pic in the next competition, but I don't want to spam the categories - is it okay to put both Kiko and, say, Lylis in the same month? Otherwise it could get stupid and boring very quickly....

Doesn't it have a focus lock? My Nikon Coolpix does: chose manual focus-> put what you want the camera to focus on in the center 'focus area' -> partially press the shutter button and allow the camera to focus -> hold the shutter and reposition the shot the way you want it -> take the picture.cosycottage wrote:I'm very pleased with the photos - FTR I was just using a Sony Cybershot (7.2 megapixels) and just reducing the pics with minimal tidying up. I have something very similar to this on my 1978 Nikon FE SLR (it works with exposure though, the focus is manual).
