Painful mistake
What happened...
As some of you might remember, I allowed Stellai last summer to make the presentation photoshoot of Suleiya. I do not know if it was luck or talent, but the photos Stellai made were amazing. So when my painting group started again last season I decided to make a pastel of one of her photos. Now this you might say is definitely a credit to Stellai, and I totally agree. And it would have stayed that way if I would have spend one or two evenings sketching on it. But... I didn't.
I have taken some pictures of Stellai when I showed her the pastel. She has put them on her facebook page. I will add the comment she added there to the photos. Then you will see my mistake
Koen
Oh boy, am I a muse or what! Koen made this pastel based on the photo that I shot of Suleiya. That is what muses do: being an inspiration!
I still do not understand why Koen chose this photo for making the pastel. It really is a very simple pose and it isn't even that perfect. Suleiya's breasts are too jumpy. She doesn't have posable breasts.
Koen has worked on this for God knows how many hours. And it shows. It really is a nice pastel.
But Koen has a stock of at least a thousand photos of me. Then why didn't he use one with me on it? Suleiya is not his muse, I am!
It should have been me lying there, eternalized in the hay.
Shit!
Next time I am going to use the camera's timer settings and make selfies.

Re: Painful mistake
I am now working on a pastel based on a photo that I took of Stellai but even though it is the perfect pic because there is a whole story in it, I am not sure if she is going to approve because it is not (not by far!) as flattery looking as The one of Suleiya
I am not yet going to show you the 'other' photo. Stellai sometimes watches my topics...
