Any one has experience with this: Nama Chichi Doll Bra
http://www.kanojotoys.com/nama-chichi-d ... -1817.html
I am thinking of buying one for my 36" porcelain doll.
Not sure it will work on barbie.
It will be small put onto a larger doll (it said it is for 24" doll) but I like small boobs anyway. The problem is I don't really know how large or small the doll bra will be. And what kind of glue I should use to fix it onto the doll if the bra strap does not work? Household silicone sealant?

It is totally, absolutely totally, useless to be used as intended, as a bra. The straps are
like gossamer, and would probably not support the weight of the boobs, even if I had
gotten that far.
Now the boobs themselves are great. Extremely soft and a little saggy like real boobies.
They feel and look great on the doll.
Unfortunately the straps are sooooooo badly constructed I can't recommend this product unless you intend to permanently glue the boobies on, which is what I'm going to do.
I'm going to try crazy glue. My doll body is some kind of plastic.
Here is a shot with the boobs lying on her chest, not yet attached.

They look really nice on your doll. May I ask what is the width of your doll's chest?
My doll has a wide chest (about 3 inches) so I think I need to cut off the strap and even cut between the boobs anyway. she has chest made with fabric, so I don't think crazy glue would work.

I then measured the under-bust from mid armpit to armpit and that was 4.5 in.
They are in a thin plastic sack; the same thin material as the straps. I think other glues may work because of this; not direct contact with the TPE.

Thanks for the measurement. Seems very close to my dolls chest. I think I'll get a set for my girl.Netwit wrote:Using a tailor's tape measure I measured totally straight across and the length was 2.75 in.

Not a bad idea actually. I'll need one without the shoulder straps as the dress has very wide neck opening (is there a special term for that?). Need to google for some bras today.rubherkitty wrote:Just make her a little strap bra! LOL
Thks!

They don't look wrinkly when held upright; but I imagine the plastic may stretch over time.

DDdioxine, is the porcelain doll a collectible or a reproduction?
If a repro, maybe you could have a set of boobs custom made out of plastic and glue them on?
Do you need soft boobs for her?
Re: Any one has experience with this: Nama Chichi Doll Bra
Thanks for the additional photos. If the boobs look wrinkly or stretch over time, then there might be a chance of them getting squashed under the dress? My doll got very tight dresses.Netwit wrote:Here's a couple more shots shown with a standard bic lighter for size comparison.

I think she is originally a collectible. On the back of her neck printed "Duckhouse Heirloom Dolls /5000". I googled it and seems that these dolls do not worth much. Furtherore, her left leg got crushed in the mail when I got her from eBay.rubherkitty wrote:Man those are tiny. About the size of a quarter?

So even if she was a rare collectible, won't worth anything now, except to me. I think I'm in love
In time, I'm going to made her a new body. Mean while, a new pair of boobs would be great. The boob bra seems to be a quick and affordable way.

A bit bigger; maybe closer to silver dollar size.rubherkitty wrote:Man those are tiny. About the size of a quarter?
Funny, the full sized ones look the same as the tiny ones. These are silicone at 500g.
Maybe; they would probably be imprinted with the fabric texture at the least.then there might be a chance of them getting squashed under the dress?

Then she might need to bare her breast all the time.Netwit wrote:Maybe; they would probably be imprinted with the fabric texture at the least.then there might be a chance of them getting squashed under the dress?

Not a 80 yr old, hand made doll from England or Germany.
They state the materials are of poor quality compared to the old collectible dolls.
May have been why the foot broke. Too thin of casting?
Have fun w/ her.
Re: Any one has experience with this: Nama Chichi Doll Bra
Probably so. I did not pay much for the eBay transaction, the shipping fee was much more expensive than the doll. I suspected that she was mass produced. Anyway, I just love her pretty face and have to get her.rubherkitty wrote:I did a search on the Duck House dolls and they are a recent production doll made in China.
