Just a little Guinee Pig

Post by Koen »

ScoonimDolls are non-living objects. :evidence:

I have created ScoonimDolls for posing/staging and to look like as if they are alive on photo. Plain and simple. So, obviously, it was my intention to show the potential of my creation by posting photoseries. Using my own ScoonimDoll Stellai, was the obvious choice. Nothing weird so far. But, while doing so, I opened Pandora's box.... 8O
Now for a considerable amount of hours per week I find myself writing and working on photos for Stellai. She has her own account for email, Facebook and CoverDoll. She has her own friends and and even fans and on top of that she is reporter for CoverDoll e-zine, which is nothing less than a gain momentum in her existence. (To see her most recent report in CoverDoll you can use this link: Stellai's blog. It is said to be a must-see :) )

I am a simple down to earth designer. I make solid products. I make ScoonimDolls. I created Stellai, but now her being is trancending the creation. Stellai has become a person. Physically she is a doll. But mentally she is now as much alive as anybody else. And unlike my own life there are non-stop occasions that would create most interesting photoseries and topics to show to the world what she is doing. For my own protection already I have denied Stellai getting her own accounts on the forum - interesting, or disturbing here is my choice of words -, because the amount of time I spend on her is already more than I can spare. This is weird and spooky. But... it is also so much fun
ScoonimDolls are non living objects. They are! I need to hold on to that. You need to hold on to that! It is a scientific fact. Well, at least most of the time. Okay, maybe exept for.... OMG, what am I saying! :drinking:
If any of you still would consider getting a ScoonimDoll, see the next photoseries as a warning. :!:

Koen

P.S.
I have added Stellai's comment in Facebook to the photos. (Albums name: I love Mop)

Image
This is Mop. She is our new guinee pig doll. Well, actually she is the guinee pig doll of Koen's daughter, but we all love her.

Image
Before we got her I was hoping that Koen would buy one in my size. But it seems that this is the smallest as they come.

Image
As you see she, is not very small. But it is mainly fur. She really is not very heavy.

Image
Mop is really adorable. She is a kind of giant baby.

Image
She is actually too big to sit on my lap, but...

Image
She especially likes it when you tickle her under her chin. The she starts to make little noises.

Image
I miss Dotje, but I am very happy to have Mop as her replacement .

Unique idea for a photo shoot! Good job. I was wondering how did you manage to have the guinee pig stay still long enough for a picture to be taken?

I seriously doubt if Mop also looks at it that way

We are a bit more than a week away from the meet and you are giving all credits to Mop?

Thanks Chris. I have read your comments now at least a dozen times and I even consulted Google, but frankly speaking I have not a clue what you mean to say. But no doubt it is something positive. So, thanks... I guess :?

Silly as it may seem, I have the same problem :?

Ok, I know you are a fan, but somebody here now suddenly has feet way too big for her little shoes

Mop is very young and still needs to learn. So she was to some extend willing to cooperate. But we had to work very fast. Of every pose I had to make several shots and Mop did not keep position for more than a couple of seconds. We constantly had to correct/reposition her.

OOps, a little misspelling has happened: it was meant tp red: another one Stellai WON over! Yes, it was meant positive: Mop won over as well as all of us!
Sorry for causing trouble and confusion,

I agree! I've seen trained movie animals perform worse!
