obitsu 1/6th scale dolls review

Out of all the dolls I have . There range of motion, is fantastic. When a part breaks or becomes faulty you can take it apart and rebuild it. These girls cost any where from 20 dollars ( head not included) to 40 bucks with head and shipping included. She was completely blank when I bought her. I had to hand paint her face and apply her hair to my taste. The torso comes almost completely apart. Easy to replace parts. They do not come with english instructions. If you want a cute highly posable doll at a fairly cheap price this is the one.

I may start selling these middle of next year. They come with no heads clothes or wigs. They have to be compiled by you.
What makes her an adult doll in my opinion, the small parts of course,lol.
The fact that she can touch her own breasts and groin , seal the deal for me

I must admit that I have hardly any knowledge of the market for ball joint dolls, but it seems to me that this is a doll that can do a lot op posing for little money

But...

If you have bought the doll directly from the manufacturer, I think you need to realize that selling this kind of doll is only interesting if you know how to sell a lot of them. This because the profit per doll that you sell is not very big. Unless you happen to be already wholesaler for similar kind of products, having a considerable customer group attached to you, I think you need to be really carefull before deciding to start selling these dolls. The costs for having stock, administration, promotion, packaging, shipment, banking, and labour are considerable. There is no profit in selling a dozen, or even a couple of hundred of this doll if you have to set up an entire shop for this.

Kit bash is everything when it comes to these girls. All home made unique one of kind clothing. That is what sells, elaborate costuming of the doll. They are really cute and extremely posable and customizable. They do not stain like other soft dolls. Fabrics do not stain this doll easily, oils and dirt from your hand will stain it.

I would be happy making 20 bucks per doll. I simply love these little dolls.
And wish create unique dolls for doll lovers. I have edation ,phicen,kumik,and various other types, this by far is my favorite one.

Hi samara78,

I also have a Obitsu doll which I haven't played with her much. I found that she is much more smaller than other 1/6 dolls such as Phicen.

The Obitsu body are made with soft vinyl and so are the doll heads I bought for the doll body. I wonder what kind of paint do you use to paint yours? Will those crack if the head or body was squeezed?

Perhaps I am missing something here. In what way (other than price) is this doll superior to a Phicen? We all know that clothes, head sculpts, and accessories are the biggest expense on these dolls, so why not spend a little more on a superior body?

Perhaps the Obitsu can attain such a position as this, but would it look anywhere near as good doing so? The latest generation Phicen bodies can currently be obtained for about $74 USD. A good head sculpt is $35 or more. How much is the Obitsu?

I have been thinking a lot about buying an Obitsu, I have always been quite fascinated by them. One question: how stiff are the joints? Do you need a certain amount of force to move them, or are they pretty soft?

The joints are smooth no force needed to move them. I have some more coming in now. These dolls can be kitted out any way you like. They will fit barbie clothes and shoes, and come with small or large bust and are perfect to play with.
Bust come in small medium and large.
Three head styles too, anime face, and a more realistic face.
And head with rooted hair.
