Asuka 1/6 custom
Oh FUN! She found the games.. ..and of course things got a little naughty!
She's one of my favorite figures now. I plan on getting her a yellow dress and some swimwear and to start some more animation again. She will be my new inspiration. I'm also having my up and coming fabric anime doll fashioned after her!!

Re: Asuka 1/6 custom
I got bit HARD by the Evangelion stuff as of late. I passed over it for simpler anime like Macross, Ninja Scroll, Battle Angel Alita, and sat through my wife's Gurren Lagann addiction before losing it for this story. She really likes the Neon Genesis Evangelion story a lot now, too.
I also have a custom Rei Ayanami figure using all Volks parts. She uses the taller EB Beauty 'S' type body and a custom short blue hair head that I thought fit (was possibly intended for) Rei when it was offered.
I have a giant wall full of custom 1/6 figures and do stop-motion and come up will all kinds of stories I chip away at when I have the time. I used to have a more powerful imagination when I was a bit younger (I'm not really old, though) and would envision massive stories in my head and get extatic about drawing all of these characters I've created into adventures.
I have much less time for these pursuits as I've just had my second son and have a 1 1/2 year old daughter amongst my four other children. I have a little garret with a drapped off room to do animation and programming in. It's full of hot little statues and is where Charlotte, Chii, and Mio hang out. It's also where this set was done. I also have a work room teeming with toys and comics and a big warning sign on the door set up like a variation of some esoteric cabalist Jacobs ladder..
I hope to get back into animation as it has been a little while since I got it going. I've been programming lately and that has taken up much of any spare time I might have. I'm also teaching my ten year old son guitar and I take care of little munchkins all day long..

Re: Asuka 1/6 custom
Too true! Maybe I'll get the seamless Volks body for her. I used to have a few of them, but sold them on eBay. I guess I always thought Volks would be around to get more, although Volks LA (I'm pretty sure) is closing and Volks Japan is selling at rock-bottom, close-out prices to get rid of 1/6 stock! They are sticking to 1/3 now and the other, larger scale dolls.Varkeo wrote:You can't go wrong with Obitsu or Volks my friends.

I may be wrong, but how would I even get a 1/6 seamless from them? I wish I wouldn't have sold my KiwiHouse seamless bodies long ago..
I love Volks and Obitsu! You have to be really careful with those original Phicens! I have a few Phrankenstien Phicens!!
Thanks, Varkeo!!
