This World War 2 lady dispatch rider is actually a 1/9th scale 'tank girl' made of the hard plastic unaccountably known as resin. She is about eight inches tall and she was an 11-part kit that I bought via eBay. The bike is the Italeri 1/9th scale Triumph 3HW, an excellent though fiddly kit to build.

Yes. The bike has a lot of parts, but it is a fairly easy kit to build and paint. It just takes a while.

The Sten gun came with the bike, incidentally. Everything else she is wearing came with the 'tank girl' resin kit of 11 parts.

Excellent work Everhard. 8) Prof_ Sakai used to do this type of scale modeling and showed some of his work on TDF. He hasn't posted in years, but I still remember the models had an incredible amount of detail like your 1/9th scale model does.

Great work, looks awesome. I always loved this type of modelling and even more explicit, but displaying it was always a problem.

Fantastic job on both! Hollywu was into 1/6 scale WWII for a long time prior to my arrival. She saw the documentary film, "Marwencol" and she sort of went from there. She still loves it but doesn't have as much time to dedicate to it now. If you haven't seen the film, it's really wonderful and such an inspiration.

Hugs,

Rari

Professor Sakai's 1/6 scale tanks and Mark Hogancamp's Barbie-doll re-enactments of World War 2 both influenced this combination of motorcycle and rider. They are entirely unconnected kits, but they both happen to be the same scale (1/9). The bike comes with a World War 2 motorcycle helmet, but it is not as interesting as the helmet and goggles the 'tank girl' comes with.

"This is so underpowered and heavy."

Tessa is more used to riding a 1970 Montesa Cota 247 trials bike.
