Seems solid enough to keep head on, but i cant hang doll inside wardrobe. Glue will not endure doll weigh.

Re: Neck jont/bolt broken.
Can't really count my dolls in that argument! They all have custom neck assemblies that could easily support well over 45kg for years if that is what you wanted to do!
And I really don't know how long they are rated to hang, or even what weight they are rated for, but if the manufacturer OK's that method then it should be OK or the manufacturer should/would let you know that!
How do you know what the design is meant to withstand, have you asked a manufacturer? "Not trying to be argumentative", but you did make a specific claim "the gooseneck design isn't meant to withstand 30-45kg pulling on that one joint for prolong periods" And I would really like to know!

Re: Neck jont/bolt broken.
My assumption regarding the gooseneck is based on the specs for flexible electrical conduit, which is essentially what the necks are made from. This type of conduit is only meant to protect conductors in limited applications. It is not designed to support weight of any kind. I've installed hundreds of feet of this stuff and know it can suspend some weight but for how long? No one knows because it's not designed for this purpose nor is it designed to be welded to a frame.
That said, I doubt any manufacturer would know the capacities since they don't make these components themselves and frankly, I doubt they would know the strength of their own welds since the quality is so variable.
And as Harem noted, the standing option is a good one!
cheers
