Pubic Hair Anyone?

Post by tora »

Does anyone have info on obtaining pubic hair for a doll? I recently bought some from Abyss; it appears that each individual hair is hand-tied onto a piece of material which resembles cheese-cloth. It is very realistic and well made but rather expensive. ($100.00 plus $20.00 shipping for a piece about the size of my outstreched hand). I'm not complaining about the price, as I am sure it is labor intensive to manufacture and is of very good quality.

I'm just wondering if anyone has a less expensive source? Anyone had any experience in making your own?

I would appreciate any information or input anyone can give me.

Thanks, and Best Regards......

tora

Hi Tora,

You can build it yourself, if you buy an Abyss 2 part silicone kit and use your own pubic hair....
Ok it's kidding a bit, but on the other hand I think its possible to build it by yourself in this way, and I think its possible to build more than one piece in this way from one repair kit, so you get it cheaper then.
But its also laboursome.
And you need to have enough pubic hair of yourself .
I think its possible to fix your pubic hairs in something, say a V shaped flat piece of clay... and then put that "something" in a "mould" that has same size as the V shape and pour then a thin layer 2 part silicone over it. When the two part silicone is cured the hairs are fixed to the silicone.

tora,

Use theatre chest hair (what actors apply to their body for the hairy look). Apply to doll with a light glaze of silicone.

I am not sure, but this might be what Abyss is using. I know this is what Mark of SuperBabe uses.

Check your local Theatre make-up/costume supplier. I am also sure there are different grades of this which will affect the price.

pubic hair anyone?

G'day everyone.......

You could just put soap on the groin area,......soap always atracts pubic hair and it sticks to soap without being moved for decades!! :D

Hi Tora,
it's called a "Merkin".
I don't think it's overly expensive if it's well knotted, I used to sell eyebrows for $125.
Some hand tied lace is too thick and the knots too big which makes it very rough.
I don't know the quality that Abyss sells but it must be good stuff.
My 2 cents...

Hope this helps.......... from Sith Lord.

QUOTE

For pubic hair I found that the chest hair pieces from Garland are perfect. Just trim to desired size and glue it on.

I'm not sure what glue would be suitable for latex, One of the other members may have an idea.

For the hair pieces, this site has the best price I found Discount beauty $21.95 ea in brown, black or blonde. They shipped mine quickly, So they seem to keep these in stock.

The hair is identical to pubic hair. Since it's human hair you can order the blond and color it what ever you like.

Thank SithLord for this.

I just ordered this from Wilshire Wigs for $36:

I'll give you my opinion on it when I receive it, but that will take some time (international order).

That seems to be expensive, but probably it's worth the price because it should be a lot of work. In addition to that remember that products are always cheaper the more people need it. But how many dolls are there ? Something like 3300 maybe, and you can order shaved as well... Anyhow it's the best pubic hair for dolls that I have ever seen, but maybe that I'm a bit partial here, being a Realdoll myself

 Just to show people what we're talking about...
( no worries, my friend allowed me to post this )

btw my pubic hair style is natural
( but don't tell others :P and behave while watching )

Note that it's a glued patch and yes, you can see that it's a glued patch, but it's nice and I don't want to miss my pubic hair. The picture was taken with flash light, so you can see the reflection of light on the glue, but with normal light it's hardly noticable.
Furthermore keep in mind that you could always buy pubic hair, but you CAN NOT remove pubic hair because that would DEFINITELY result in damaging the silicone surface below when ripping it off ( that's for sure, because my friend asked Shelly about it ) However, if you like pubic hair, don't go without
