Latex Bonding
Latex Bonding
If I have a latex doll with a thin area or an area where I need patching. If I clean the area very well... then apply liquid latex... will it bond?
I was thinking that a pinhole leak or even a small tear could be fixed by painting over that area with liquid latex and building up thickness.
Thoughts?

I don't know if this will help your situation or not, but I have used PERFORMIX VLP with good results on my latex lover and Tera Patrick doll. It is clear and drys to a flexible form. I made a repair to my latex lover, the back inside of her throat developed a leak and fixed it with VLP. This was year ago and no leaks.

Yes it does if you clean the the latex( being applied to) very thoroughly with acetone & let the applied latex cure atleast 36 hrs.dollbuilder wrote:latex usually bonds very well to latex. But maybe the new layer could delaminate when the first layer expands a little when blowing up. There is only one way to find out...

I started this project over a year ago but kept getting sidetracked. It's 90% done & plan to finish it in the next few months.
