Big News folks.

Thusrday night she got a nice powder massage. Friday morning teh faint odor still lingered.

So I laid her down on the futon fully exposed. I set the ionizer on a stool about 2 feet away but almost a foot higher than her body. This way the ionized air was pushed out and over her as it was sent out of the unit. I set the time for an hour and left the room closed for 12 hours.

I am pleased to report last night there was barely and odor at all, I am not sure if it is even smoke that I am smelling. This morning the same thing barely a trace.

Hey TJ, whats the long term verdict?
Did the Ozone kill all the smoke particles - or did they hide and come back out later on?

Tough to say for sure at this point mi6c. They came back but just for a bit, faded, came back, and now seem to be faded. Time seems to be the best but I think the treatments helped. I have no way to test or prove the following but it did ocurr to me. Perhaps the smoke molecules were very deeply penetrated into the silicone. Is it possible each treatment removed a layer of sorts, then more molecules leached to the surface?

When you wash a SILICONE doll in a very hot solution, it pulls out stains and odors from under the surface of the silicone. Hot hot soaking with powder laundry detergent will help a little every time.

If you have a uv light in a room you produce some ozone.O3
may you can buy some old solarium and start up.
but may not send light direct to the doll.

vinegar consentrate is also good for odeur.
in same room.
not on doll.

Ozone unit was $69.95 delivered to my house- Amazon.

More smoke molecules seem to be oozing out I wish I had soemthing to penetrate the silicone and draw it all out. I wa shoping the baking soda/vinegar paste would go that but it was temporary...

I purchased a doll 4 days ago and to my dismay when I removed her from the cardboard box the smell of heavy cigarette smoke nearly knocked me of my feet. I am a non smoker and never thought to ask if the doll was in a smoke free environment. I can barely get near her. I washed her the first night with warm water mixed with antibacterial hand soap. No help other than dirty water down the drain.
I have tried spraying Lysol disinfectant spray to no avail. Now at 4 days in my home the smell has permeated my bedroom and now down the hallway. It seems to be getting worse everyday. Need I say no "happy endings" here so far. I'm at a point I truly regret purchasing her. It seems to have been a terrible waste of money and I may be forced to resell her to a smoker. You folks seem to have much experience and are the true experts in dealing with TPE dolls. Any updated successful suggestions would be very much appreciated.

PM from doll doc 5/24/18: Hi. I did some research and found that ammonia breaks down nicotine. I had some success with an ozone generator first, but it appears that after that treatment more of the smell leached up to the surface of the doll. It also helps to do your treatment in a warm room. I recommend finding a container that is just big enough to hold the doll. Then place the doll in the container and fill it with ammonia until it completely covers the doll. The leave it like that for about a week. Let me know how it works for you. I"m about to try the same thing for one of mine with the same problem.
