I remember watching a show called "My Crazy Obsession" Where a doll owner and his wife had a collection of over 200 dolls ! On this show it was said that in order to keep a Real dolls Silicon skin from drying out you have to bath/wash a doll with warm water and soup ever now and than. Is he right ? Is this True ? I thought washing a Realdoll was just to keep her clean. If I dont bath my doll will her skin dry up and start to crack ? If so how how often is it recommended to wash a doll to keep her Silicon skin from drying out ?

Not sure, but good question. Tires can get what is called 'dry rot'. Mine did, because I had them for so long, since I don't drive or go hardly anywhere beside to work and the store, which is like well under 50 miles, a month. I thought about whether or not something like that could happen to dolls, since I heard of oils or something some use, or all use, I don't know. Some 'sweat' oil, others don't. Dry rot would fucking suck with a doll. Not sure how simply bathing them could even begin to prevent something like that, though.
I’ll do it again if I have to throw this money at you, [dolls] you know you got me gone

One important note, the narrator is the one saying he's doing it so they won't dry out. Where'd the narrator get that from?
He's saying they use mild soap and warm water to not dry it out. Maybe it's referring to not using a harsh solvent or maybe it's a misinformation thinking it's so skin like it can do a thing like dry out. Either way it's some writer who put that in, not a doll owner. I wouldn't dwell on it.

Thanks alot for replying and for trying to make some sense out of what was said in this video you guys. You thought of something that didn't even cross my mind LadyPeridot. Maybe the narrator was referring to not using a harsh solvent. He also might have been just pulling inaccurate information out of his A$$ in hopes of make the show sound more interesting.
narcissus talked about not using oils on Realdolls and your right. They say this on the Realdoll website and on the little book that comes with each Realdoll. I did call ABYSS Creations on the Phone and I asked about the use of perfumes since all perfumes have some type of oils in them even if the lable does not say it. Sometimes the lable will list the oil as another word. I was told the reason to not used oils it to stay on the safe side and to try to sprays of the perfume on the back of the dolls foot or somewhere that for the most part stays out of site to test any new perfumes Thanks for your thoughts.I really appreciate them

I can not add much to this just wash to clean and a light dusting of baby power will do. I do not apply perfume to the doll it just will not linger. Apply to the wig before and after use.

Why don't you give him a bed bath? Wipe him down like the guy was wiping his doll down in the video and freshen up your sweetie Sweeney! I love a freshly cleaned doll. Powered and changed, then scented with fragrance.
i can still barely lift him....>.> i can't even get his underwear off.......DX
so should i be washing him???? if it could potentially damage him then i'm going to put forth more of an effort to do something bout cleaning him!!

!!
Even I have some trouble moving my doll around and I can only imagan how much worse it has to be since you have a male doll thats a little more heavier than a female doll.
I know how it is trying to pull the underwear off and not get them off since the dolls butt kinda sinks down into the bed. One thing that you might wanna try thats helped me in the past is to roll the doll over to one side and pull the underwear off half way down than roll the doll over to it's other side and pull down the other side of its under wear untill it gets past the butt and you can just carefuly pull it down its legs (It helps if you close the dolls legs as much as you can before pulling them off lol). Just be VERY CAREFUL with the dolls hands and FINGERS as you push the doll to its side. !! You dont want the dolls fingers to get stuck under her body and get a finger poke by mistake
Another thing that I found that makes the doll easyer to move in bed is to put a very small cushion or pillow right under its butt. That way when you want to move the doll a little to the right you just slide the pillow to the side instead of trying to movie the dolls heavy butt thats sunk into the bed. Just make sure the pillows not to big or the doll will just look wierd and it might not be to good for the dolls back if the pillow pushs the butt to up high
