Is this mold?
If so, is this dangerous to health?
Material is silicone.

I'm in no way expert but it looks like mold.

Would be dangerous to my health since I get symptoms from even a slightest exposure to mold. Some people don't seem to get affected visibly from small amounts. Nevertheless, it's not a good thing to have mold inside the doll's mouth.

Hopefully you can scrub and clean it out for good. I tested mold cleaning with one cheap insert and had to scrub with rubbing alcohol and an old toothbrush for quite awhile and it wasn't the most gentle treatment for the insert. There are still micro tears and peelin inside from the operation. But the mold seems to be gone.

Yes, agreed it does look like mold.
However, if it is silicone, the mold should wipe right off, and the piece can be sterilized with 91% isopropyl alchohol (or bleach) and should be reusable.
If it doesn't wipe off, the piece is either not silicone, or is an extremely poor grade of silicone that has somehow become porous, not worth saving.

...............I'd hit dat

I'm afraid so mate! As netwit says, soak it in isopropyl alcohol to kill it off, give it a good scrub as suggested, then soak in isopropyl alcohol again for a few hours is my suggestion!

Doc samara may have some better ideas though!

Yup mold. You will need to clean that with bleach and or tea tree oil.

Yuck! Certainly looks like it.

It's safer to assume the mold is a health hazard and should be cleaned asap.

How were you storing that piece of silicone?

Silicone get stained from mold as tpe. He will need a stain remover afterwards. I have seen silicone stained with mold before, not a pretty sight.

Thank you all for the tips, but nothing helps.
All I do not know is Tea tree oil.
I have been successful in following next drastic process.
I've just removed any stain with both tweezers and my fingertips, only the very small spots are very difficult to divert in this way. Of course I have so damaged the surface of this tongue.

I'm going to ask for help from my doll producer.
The latter also because the problem is also in Lucy's mouth, but I could not take a picture of this.
I do not understand this problem as I disinfect her mouth every week at least one time with disinfectant soap.
Also, this problem does not occur with Lissie, which I treat and preserve in the same category way.

Mold is from moisture. Disinfecting soap won't particularly help if it isn't dry afterwards.

Are you drying it out by opening her mouth? Some people use air pumps to speed up the process.

Could also allow air flow with a straw or an old bic pen barrel, etc.

Oh my, poor Lucy.

Sorry I don't really have any advice how to deal with it other than things already posted. But wanted to offer my sympathy. Please give Lucy a big hug from me.

To prevent growth dryness is probably more important than disinfectant though. Spores are everywhere in the air. I know sofos has gotten me an electric pump for air mattresses to help me dry. It tickles a little but is very effective :)
Hi. Check out my new thread

Hugs and kisses

Put a tampon in her mouth after use. This will dry her mouth out quickly and keep her from getting mold infestation. Leave the tampon in for an hour or so. It will be absorbant as that is what it is made for.

This is what I do every time after disinfecting her mouth and vagina.
First, after washing, I dry her openings with a piece of cotton cloth that I completely pierce the depth of the opening.
After fifteen minutes I remove this piece of cloth and insert a tampon.
This lets me insert all the night and remove the tampon when getting up.
Then I open the opening as much as possible to allow air to enter the rest of the day until the eve.

But maybe I have to do this every day, this is the only mistake I can make because I like to kiss.
I only do not understand why this only happens after 7 months and that my other head this problem (yet) does not have.
Also, I have to admit that the tongue in the picture has not been used for at least 4 months because of these strange spots.
The tongue in the picture is the original tongue of my order and has already been given this problem after a few months.
For this reason, I ordered 2 new tongues to replace this tongue, also because I have 2 heads but only 1 tongue.
The strange thing is that this new tongue exhibited no problems like that of my other head "lissie"
