Doll Maintenance-hair

Post by Figure8 »

Greetings all.

Sorry I havent been here for awhile (if it wasnt for this board I would never have obtained Tomoko  ). Unfortunately I have been busy with other matters that I have been unable to frequent this forum as much as I would like.

Anyhoo, I was wondering if someone could give some tips on wig care. My Tomoko doll uses a simple wig, affixed with double sided tape, which has been working out good so far. However, over the many months, the wig seems to be "drying out" and getting frizzy. Plus, I think it should be washed since it will still gather dust and such, even though it doesnt get "dirty" like a human scalp.

Can someone give me some advice on how to wash, dry, shampoo, or otherwise clean the wig? Also, if I wanted to get a new hairstyle for Tomoko, is it as simple as buying another wig, or is there something I need to take into account first (e.g. wig size, wigs have to be pre-ordered, etc).

Thanks in advance.

Hi Figure8,

Welcome back. We've covered wigs recently. I searched and found a few threads by searching for "wigs" and "shampoo".

As I remember, this thread is one of the best:

I have purchased several wigs and size has never been an issue. They all are adjustable.

Navigate to beauty > Hair care
(We know this individual as Nick Vincent, but I haven't yet figured out who or what 'ramsdale' is...)
