A cut / tear in a doll or gluing in a TPE insert?
Just gathering information at the moment.

For high stress repairs it's clear that RTV Silicone doesn't hold as a glue, however for low stress, waterproofing, plugging holes, things like that then RTV Silicone may be worth considering as it does stick and it is flexible.

I was thinking it could be used to temporary glue nails and eyelashes on, seeing as it's clear, flexible and not permanent.

Capitalising on the properties of the interaction between the two materials is my line of thinking.

So basically it is this specific Permatex product?

On the first page I showed it with pictures that RTV silicone has no effect.
And I wrote that it can be wiped away with the fingers.
To make it clear I wrote that a mixture of RTV silicon with solvents is also not working.

@ Kaori:
Why are you recommending RTV silicone for "low stress, waterproofing, plugging holes" if it can be wiped away with the finger ?

I think I should stop my work for this forum.
It does not make sense anymore.

I bought the Permatex RTV silcone especially for showing the test, because it was recommended from "someone".
I knew that it wouldn't work, but I made it especially because of that recommendation.
After reading the answer from Haremlover, it is another product.

What kind of nonsense is going on here.

You said it was safe.

So I used it to plug the holes in the feet where I removed the standing option screws.
Nice, it holds well, but I can remove the plugs with some some gentle effort should I wish to put the screws back in.

Why wouldn't I want to tell other people about how it could be used like that?
