Thanks Samara for the tip with the mineral spirits, will probably try this with my RTV silicone glue. Need basically just something to make it thinner.

Your eyebrows look really nice too! Did you use stencil for the brows? I actually have an idea how to make absolute symmectric stencils, fold a piece of paper vertically in the middle, paint eyebrow on one side, cut it out cutting thru both sides.

You can get eyebrow stencils just about anywhere makeup is sold and they aren't expensive.
They are clear plastic so you can see what you are doing.
I use the Ardell ones...

Kiss also has a nice kit that includes stencils and makeup...

DocMoriarty wrote:What permatex product did you use to seal the lips? My RTV-silicones viscosity isn't good enough to use it like a paint.
I use the flowable windshield sealant.
What's nice about it is that it requires no thinner. It's a semi liquid instead of a thick paste so it flows out nicely when brushed on.
If you want a matte finish, let it cure about 45min-1hr then sprinkle corn starch powder and blow off excess. As Samara said, you need to make sure the TPE is clean for a good bond.

Samara's method is nice as well. A thicker silicone mixed with a little acrylic paint might actually work nicely with the toothpick technique - just haven't tried that as yet.

Use only odorless mineral spirits

A few of us have had good luck applying Permatex flowable silicone over eye makeup for glossy lips.
I'm not sure how well this would hold up to lots of use though.

The simplest way to redo the eyebrows is with eye shadow and eyebrow stencils.

I believe BodyColor will suit your needs. BodyColor is a TPE coloring product made specifically for coloring TPE. It is semi-permanent and dries as a glossy film. The sheen will disappear if powder is applied. With a little work, the film can be peeled off.

The powder makeup is the only template for the sealer. I use straight from the tube and texturize with a toothpick.

As I have been gearing up for a doll purchase in a couple of months I made some test eye and brow silicone casts to practice doing makeup and such on.. And after reading this thread and similar ones I decided to go ahead an attempt a eyebrow punch. Considering it was my first hair punch ever I think I did okay. I watched videos on YouTube to get the jest of it. (The key to it is how they hold the hair while pressing it in and also the angle at which you punch the hair into the silicone/ "target material". And if you arent happy with how they are coming alog or end up you can pull the hairs out with tweezers. After this im fairly sure I don't want to have to redo eyebrows all the time so I think with some more practice I will do the heads on my doll once I get them. Below is the test run results as well as a glue method attempt that I wasn't to pleased with.

Supplies used for the hair punching: TOTAL COST FOR ALLOT OF MATERIALS = $30 and some of your time. (ITS WORTH IT)

HAIR: (it comes in allot of different colors and is very fine and soft to the touch! the most expensive one is $15.)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NGZHWUC/re ... =UTF8&th=1

PUNCHING TOOL: (Comes in a multipack kit for only $9)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V5 ... UTF8&psc=1

SCISSORS: (Any will do) I used $5 nail scissors. (The slight curve as well as the short blades allows for more fine tune trimming of angles and individual hairs.)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CF ... =UTF8&th=1

Videos to watch: (The key to it all is the way you hold the hair while pushing it into the silicone as well as the angle of the needle as it goes into the target material. The angle of the needle decides what direction the hair leans out of the skin when its inserted and the way you hold the hair is what makes grabbing the hairs easier.

My 1st Test RESULTS:

USE THE SMALLEST NEEDLE FOR BROWS AND FINE DETAIL WORK.

THIN EYEBROWS GUIDE:

Create fewer hairs in thin Zone.

Thinner hair zones are Created with few strokes/punches in the thin zone areas with your preferred application tools and medium.

Create more hairs in thicker Zone.

Thicker hair zones are Created with more strokes/punches in the thicker zone areas with your preferred application tools and medium.
.
*If punching hairs try to work with the bend of the face/brow and angle your needle so that the hair goes into the skin at such an angle that it lays against the face instead of sticking straight up. (Be careful not to punch back through the eyebrow though.)

Jeez. How long did it take to add the eyebrows? I guess after awhile it gets easier. But still must of taken forever? I'm waiting for adventurer to finish his product that crazycajun started. I wonder if dragon skin will act as an adhesive for brow wigs? I read a post where someone used the good tpe glue with a toothpick. I also saw on YouTube about painting silicone babies. Wonder how that method would work on tpe? They used silc pig mixed with 10 medium dragon skin. I get my first doll soon so these are questions I must have answers to!! Later
