Fleshlight as TPE Donor Material

Hey,

New here. Nice to meet you all.

A few questions:

1. Does anyone know if fleshlight material is made of TPE?

2. Have you cut fleshlight material to size to bond it with TPE solvent to make a TPE repair?

I ask because TPE material is hard to come by and a fleshlight laying around could go a long way to making repairs for TPE dolls.

I was going to experiment on my own but figured I'd ask first.

Thanks in advance.

You need proper tpe sample from your vendor. Flesh flight is a different type of material.

Thanks for all the replies.

So if I harvest TPE from the neck what would create a better bond: TPE solvent or Soldering Iron?

No Pro Here But I have handled quite a Few different TPE items from Dolls to Onaholes, I would say that Fleshlight in my Opinion is TPE, but as said before here on the Forum, (All TPE Are Not Created Equal), so one particular mix of TPE may not work to repair another or in the very least not match, in my Opinon. (Not A Chemist or Scientist)...

Cant be used for repairs easily due to the relatively shallow bonds formed between the 2 surfaces. However it can be melted and remolded, use a pyrex/ovensafe glass pot/kettle/bowl and bake in oven @300-350°F! Exceeding 350°F will cause the material to decompose! During the FIRST melt expect large amounts of offgasing, OPEN EVERY WINDOW OF YOUR HOUSE! Pourable when the viscosity is ~= to pudding.
Subsequent melts don't yield significant offgasing!

The amount TPE for paste depends on what you are doing to repair.
For a cut or minor abrasion you can bond the TPE back using something like 3M 94 primer (see here viewtopic.php?f=229&t=131728). In that case you will need no donor TPE.
Repairs that need fill will need some TPE for paste. You will need a bit of thicker paste for deep fills. Lighter items (like skinning over a temporary tattoo to protect it) will need a thinner paste that requires less TPE.
It gets back to what you want to repair. For small stuff a bit of neck nick might suffice.
Cheers!
