Thanks a lot CinnamonLover! My doll has several broken fingers, and she's only 10 days old. She has other issues too that I'm waiting to see how they are resolved, but it's nice to see someone has come up with a finger fix. I just wish it contained actual joints, and not another wire. I do like your wire choice better than the original.

Keep us posted about how it works out. I may have to try this in a couple of weeks.

Well I finally fixed Maxine's hand, her floppy finger turned into three floppy fingers which then turned into a floppy wrist.
I really didn't redesign anything all I did was replace what was already there.
But her hand is now like new.
I fashioned a large sewing needle out of small diameter welding rod to "thread" the new finger wire assembles into each finger.
Seemed to work pretty good.
Seems I always give her a repair for Christmas.
Her major skeleton repairs were last Christmas, they have been holding great.
I want to make her last forever.
She's so beautiful, and really good in bed.
And cheap, I'm at less than a dollar a session now!
.. :D

I'm going to have to try this too.... Once I work up enough courage to actually cut into her on purpose... :|

Thanks for sharing this though. You make it look like I might be able to actually pull this off, and it would really be nice for Anna to have working fingers again.

I'm with you on that Broven. I wish I was more handy with fixing things around the house or my car, but I'm not. Having to do this stuff on a doll that I love makes me very nervous and uncomfortable. I wish there was a walk-in clinic for dolls!

I totally relate Broven, even after all the work I've done to her, it's still stressing to do anything to her that I haven't done before.
But luckily it has always worked out for the best.

I really wished I made photos of what I did but it was so by the seat of my pants kind of thing that I didn't.

fascinating thread, being a not yet owning newbie.....as a cheap easy quick/temporary fix, how about sexy arm length leather/latex gloves with suitable wire or plastic inside the glove? Hope this may work and be useful to a member somewhere!
Could this be extended to thigh length boots (zip up perhaps) with plates in the soles to help with non standing feet?
