Ok 24 hours... Fine. Agreed it's not eBay.

However, with the timer reset upon bid- you can still get "nickel and dime" sniping unnecessarily prolonging the auction. A minimum bid increment (say $100 steps) may help.

Auctions are supposed to be quick, down and dirty. You hope to generate that "guilty pleasure" feel of gambling and auction rush! Sellers are looking to get reduce inventory and get quick cash, while buyers want a good deal below retail.

Again....just suggestions not meant to annoy or offend. Sellers or moderators set the policy....All hail the mighty $.

According to the rules, the bidding is not allowed to extend past the stated ending date; however, the statement that the auction isn't to end before 24 hours after a bid appears to be an addendum. Does the clause mean that a bid made one hour before the auction's end time extends the auction by 23 hours?
Pretty much, yeah.
Thank you, sir!

The 24 hour bid clause also allows an expired auction that had no bids to become more of a regular auction once a bid is posted,

I think sellers are allowed to state incremental parameters when posting an auction. I think it's important to have a maximum increment in order to discourage collusion. One could bid an exorbitant amount with no intention of paying in order to allow a tiny bid to take the win.
笑. It's good for you.

Basically that's something between buyer and seller. Often paypal is used as they have a kind of buyer's protection.

How does one set the paypal up for this? Do you just provide them the paypal email or create a paypall button/link?

To my knowledge, if the seller provides the email address linked to his paypal account, the buyer is able to send money. Also the seller could create an invoice if he knows the email address linked to the paypal account of the buyer. (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

The rule changes might help to cool things and reduce friction but http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=128&t=76113 is an example where on account of being denied the opportunity of making encouragement on the thread a seller lost out and one of the most effective of sexdolls around sold for way under value. What's really interesting about that doll also is the extent to which there has been no deterioration and those dolls are rather underappreciation.

Meanwhile there's a UK doll for sale at £1000 or so which has been banged to shreds and is scrap in all but name . . . and allowing a comment on such a post is appropriate guidance to the seller and also to inexperienced buyers. Such a doll cannot be repaired.

Best wishes

I do understand the reasoning for such rules. Unfortunately for myself I have nothing to provide to the forums. I am a closet doll owner (if thats a thing). And part of the reason I entered this site was it seemed like a safe place I could sell my doll (she freaks out my wife). But besides this post, I don't really see myself posting 4 other times (due to the fact I'm not looking to purchase another doll.

Does anyone here have some advice to suggestions?

Yes, make 4 more approved posts. :) Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted to hear, but we need to be consistent, and we don't feel like we're asking too much here. Consider asking complete strangers to help you sell your car and you won't pay them for their time, or maybe asking a bartender for a free drink. People have be willing to put in the minimum effort to reap the benefits of membership. At least we don't ask for a cut from your sale like a used car lot would...

Your best bet is to make 4 more posts. There's no other way around it. But it's really not that hard. There are a lot of beautiful dolls here and all you would have to do is to comment on or compliment them. A lot of work can go into a photo shoot and every comment will surely be appreciated! :D
But I do understand your hesitation as I was once the same way. I first discovered this forum in 2013 and was content to just observe from a distance as I felt that I had nothing to add. (Some people may say that I STILL have nothing to add)
In any case, it was a doll that popped up in the sales section that made me decide to join. Or at least for just long enough to get my 5 posts so that I would be able to communicate with the seller.
Although I had no idea of what to say, I did manage to come up with 5 posts. But for some strange reason, I decided to make a few more.
So it would appear that something went terribly wrong on my way to the sales section!
No matter how pretty she is, there is a guy out there somewhere who is tired of her shit!

Girlfriends are for guys who haven't found the right doll yet.

I feel much better now that I've given up hope.

Please understand that TDF exists by members posting about their dolls, discussing dolls and such.
The For Sale section is there to facilitate our members, but TDF is not a sales site like eBay.
