I have a few questions now that I have had my doll a couple of weeks. How often should I powder her and can you use to much powder? and should I do the face as well? I know I do not like putting on dark color clothes after a fresh powering Can you use any kind of perfume on her or does it need to be a certain kind? Would it be bad to cover her in baby oil for some slippery fun? For RD2 Body 2 any idea what size jeans I should get her? I am also having a heck of a time with shoes, RD site says 7 but they shipped her with 9s which fit tight but every size 9 I have since bought have been to big. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Powdering the face is not advisable. It can damage the make-up. I don't powder at all, it's a bloody mess. Powdering after a shower is smart. A freshly showered doll is a real dust and hair magnet.
The shoes my B2 came with are size 7.
Certain oils can do nasty things with silicone. Not sure about baby oil. I think other members can enlighten you on that.

Although my doll is a Wicked doll, I guess, I can answer some of those questions. Personally, I only powder the doll after a sponge bath, because she's super-sticky then. But it's owner preference, I guess. But don't powder the face, because the makeup could be damaged that way. If the powder is rubbed in with your hands, you can't really use too much, because if the skin is covered, more powder will pretty much fall off. I've been using regular perfume, from different known brands, without any issues (Kayla's favorite is Bruno Banani Made for Women). Although, I usually spray in her hair, or her clothes, so it gets absorbed by the material, and that way, lasts longer. On her skin, it just evaporates, because the silicone doesn't absorb it. I haven't heard of any issues when spraying on the skin, though. Don't use oils (or silicone based liquids) on your doll, it's very hard to clean, and it could affect the silicone. Slippery fun with water-based lube is just as fun, and can definitely be done safely. Picking the doll up to get her cleaned is the hardest part, for the obvious reasons Can't help on the jeans size. Shoes can be tricky (clothes too, for that matter), because not all manufacturers use the same size. Some shoes are larger than others, but have the same size. It's a bit of a trial and error.

Ok then the fun with baby oil is out I did try to power the face but not the makeup area before but with the real eyebrows it made a mess so good to hear I do not need to do that again! I am finding out the hard way about different makes sizes are not all the same, lots of trial and error so far. I have three sets of boots I ordered online I will be exchanging for 7's kind of a pain but I know better now, just weird they sent 9s with her that fit like a glove.

Generally it's advisable to powder after the doll is showered as RaDiv indicated they are dust and hair magnets. Depending upon the clothing you are using will determine if you need to powder ie. If she's wearing pants you don't need more powder just make sure it's talc or cornstarch. It is NOT advisable to powder the face as previously indicated. As to the use of oils I'd contact Abyss to determine what oils are OK to use on your doll. As to perfume your kit may have come with a bottle of perfume but that might be only for the original RD's however, you can use any perfume on your doll. I've never had any issues with perfumes on the dolls skin. However, if your unsure you can always spray her clothing.

Hey Dragon, I've found just about any perfume works and as Alex mentioned, spray her hair or clothes or it won't last long. My RD2B wears size 5 shoes. She came with 9's and they didn't fit. Clothes take time and lots of trips to the store as the same sizes don't fit the same. I do advise you get her some pantyhose if you haven't done so yet as they make it a lot easier to put pants on. Wendy mostly wears scrubs when she's wearing pants. I had to cut a slit up the back and sew on velcro tabs so she can wear the scrub tops. Though I like to see her in short dresses.... or something less with lace Are you ready to take your girl out to the stores to try on clothes? I can imagine you pushing Bella down the aisle hanging from her new stand.

A female that doesn't like shopping? I never knew there was such a critter!! I wonder where one finds one of those in RL?? However the..... "You Go and make it snappy!" sounds very familiar. I gather you are also one of those individuals that way too many people tell where to go, on a regular basis. In my case it's from being a cynical, sarcastic, SOB. Also rude, crude and socially unacceptable. Everyone has their little flaws.

I have a RD2 doll very similar (body B and face A but with a different makeup) and I use baby powder immediately after the bath. But I use baby powder only on body and not on face, because the makeup can damage.
I use the baby powder especially if I dress my doll with dark clothes. In this way the clothes glide on body and there are less chance to stain the body. I wash often the dark clothes, because in this way a lot of color goes away and the doll's body not stain.

Stains will disappear on their own, they only need time.

Finally got the nerve up and just gave her eyelashes again I was so worried I was going to mess her up Dude, you didnt' say if she got messy after she got her new lashes. So? Sadly no, lashes still drying but I made the mistake of going away for the weekend and leaving a black night dress on her. She has a slightly black butt Another question, looking at Masterpiece Eyes and they do not seem to carry 24mm just 23 and 25. I want to get the custom pearl color and have the veins added for realism but not sure if I should pass or go one size up or down? http://www.softglasseyes.com/custom.htm
