So here is what happens when you drop a doll head...

Post by TTNLBTPD »

I had taken my Brooklyn (Urla) head off to look at the floppy neck in preparation of fixing it. Accidently dropped it. Result:

Though I believe it can be fixed I do not think it would hold for very long. Have requested a quote for replacement.

* FYI: Picture is of lower jaw.

Well that's what you call a jaw dropping experience. Hope your girl gets well soon.

Since it's a non-visible thing and didn't splinter, you could probably fix it without it affecting the look of the doll.
But ordering a new jaw for $20-30 is probably an easier way :)

You can fix that with slow setting epoxy resin. Say 15 minute? I had a similar issue with a friends doll. Fixed no problem. And that was a year ago

You can't even tell the piece isn't there.

I have a can of Bondo downstairs. I'd imaging that would probably do the trick. I'm going to see what they quote me. Really don't feel like getting into that.

No bondo. Plasti weld is what fixes that

Nothing to it. You mix the 2 parts apply and tape it. Nothing to "get into".

I would try re-reinforcing with fiberglass resin and fiberglass cloth - marine or auto body shops
have these materials.
