Folks according to the tracking number Kaylani my baby will be here tomorrow! OMG really looking forward to seeing how she is and seeing what RealDoll is all about! I also just purchased a really cute skirt for her. I still need to find a nice top/blouse for her!

Just got home and the fedex guy was here to deliver my baby Kaylani! She was shipped in a BT box so there where no heavy crate involved. Still she was a bit heavy! Still have tons of errands to do today but will take her out and hopefully get some pics before the weekend! I am sooooo happy!

In the mean time I need to find out how to post pics. I'll have to do a little search! Is it like other forums where you have to use photobucket and copy and paste pic code?

As long as the pictures are smaller than 3600 pixels wide or high, you can use the attachment system on the forum.

Here's a tutorial on it: http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=123&t=41292

It's best to set up the camera to take pictures within 3600 pixels (not higher than 5 megapixels).
Ideally, for internet usage, you don't even need to go higher than 2 megapixels.

Well folks after a couple of days of having her! I really regret purchasing her. Its due to her weight. 70 pounds may not seem as much but 70 pounds of deadweight is something I should of think about. As I was taking her in and out of the box she came in I was sweating like crazy (out of shape) LOL! As much as I like to hang on to her I may have to break up with her and let her go to someone who will take the time to be with her! So I am gonna give it a few days or so and I may post up for sale! I just got the skirt for her and it can look soooooo cute on her! :) sucks but I have the feeling I can hurt myself if I am being extra careful on her!

G'day everyone,...

Awww,....

That's so sad,...
:(

Give it some time,...
You will get used to moving her. A lot of new doll owners found it hard at first, then when they got used to the way you move them, its no problem.
I'm sure it will be the same with you.

I can see where taking her in and out of a box can be a problem. Some members use a wheel chair to move dolls around. Did she come with a hanging bracket? A hanging bracket installed in a closet makes it easier to store and the doll is already in position to move. :)

Awww, that's too bad :(

But like Playtime says, don't give up on her just yet, it'll become easier to move her around after a while.

Personally, I'm not really in shape either, and I can only carry Kayla using the bear hug way. I can barely manage to carry her like a bride. Could also be because I'm rather short, so my arms aren't really long enough to get a good grip on her.

I've never been able to lift a doll out of the crate while it's lying down, so I stand it upright and then lift the doll out using the same technique I use to carry her, one hand under her butt and the other arm around her waist, letting her lean against me (to get the center of gravity as close to me as possible, and prevent the articulated spine from bending backwards)

Also, if you carry her more, you'll get stronger.

I also notice my arms got bigger after taking her in and out but the bad thing is that I have back problem! I can just get a quick pop and I can be out of commission for days if I am not to careful! Original owner told me to give her some time and I may get use to it but I'll give it a few days or weeks and i'll go from there!

I need that hanging bracket! Where can I find that?

They are shipped with the dolls. You can call Abyss to see if they can ship one or maybe a member has one not in use. :) Attached are a couple of pictures. I mount mine horizontal rather than vertical makes it easier.
