One month review for Sofia torso...

Post by iamthewalrus »

So I've had Sofia for about a month now, and will detail my experiences in this thread.

Why Sofia?
Well this was my 1st ever doll purchase, so I didn't want to spend too much. I set my budget at $250, and initially thought this limited me to just decent quality air dolls. I considered getting the "Buffy" inflatable from 1am because of the realistic and pretty looking face, but didn't like the idea of a non-functioning mouth and blow-up T&A, which surely can't feel very realistic.

After more searching on these forums, I came across Sili dolls and noticed that the Sofia torso was right in my price range, and the video demonstrations on their site convinced me that the TPE tits and ass would be soft, smooth, bouncy and quite realistic, which indeed they are.

So I placed my order and the doll arrived less than a week later. In the meantime, I was doing some shopping...

Hair and Eyeballs
One of the first things I ordered was a sexy blonde wig. The light brown wig that comes with Sofia is pretty poor quality, but luckily you can buy nice wigs for $20 or less. I also have this weird thing where I find brunettes and darker haired women to generally be more attractive and sexy, but often fantasize about blondes instead. Go figure...

After handling the wig, I quickly realized that I needed to do something to keep it from getting constantly tangled. So I bought some leave-in conditioner and a hair brush (both meant for synthetic hair), and the combo works well enough.

My best "bang for your buck" purchase has been these plastic eyeballs. I got the Decora brand in the 20 mm size and they fit this doll perfectly. You get 4 different colored sets for only $7.50, which is awesome value considering how realistic they look and how well they work at changing the doll's appearance/attitude. The 20 mm size is only slightly larger than the eyes that come with the doll, but this actually helps to keep them in place.

Lingerie
I bought some sexy satin chemise/camisoles hoping that they'd fit, but even size XS was too large, so I had to return them. I quickly realized that it didn't make sense to buy regularly sized and fitted lingerie, and instead that I should shop for separate bottoms and tops that use "ties" to secure them. I've found some good stuff for relatively cheap, and will post a few examples.

TPE Realism
Sili claims to use "the softest" and "ultra real" TPE, and I definitely agree that this TPE material is super soft and realistic. For example, close your eyes and rub your nose back and forth over her nose, or slowly rub your face over her nice nipples, or give her rump some firm slaps. All of these provide very soft, pleasing and realistic sensations and tactile feedback.

hello, nice pics! i had a few questions since you are the first person that i know of to own one of silidolls beautiful torsos. First is there a built on skeleton for the torso? And if not does this make cowgirl or reverse positions difficult? Lastly how are the proportions to your own body?(does she sit face to face whole sitting in your lap?) thanks in advance! As u can see im pretty interested in getting my first torso before going full doll.

Thanks windave. This brings me to the topic of...

Makeup
I definitely need help/practice in this department, as I've never applied makeup before, to dolls nor humans. I bought a powder makeup kit but have only tried a few times on Sofia, and while I try applying thin layers, it usually comes out rather thick and looking like "whore paint" unfortunately. And I have NOT figured out how to get lipstick applied, any suggestions for lipstick on TPE? I think I had read to try using a q-tip to apply, but still no luck.

Built on? I assume you meant built IN skeleton, and yes there is. You can feel some kind of metal spine/skeleton that gives the doll extra structure.

No, she won't be face to face while sitting on your lap, as the torso measures only about 15 inches from the top of her shoulders to the bottom of her bottom.

You can definitely do cowgirl or any other positions with the Sofia torso. My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to make the neck length a little bit shorter. While the neck doesn't seem too long when looking at her, I find her head to be somewhat wobbly when trying to hold her upright (in cowgirl, for example). I think if the neck length was an inch or two shorter, it would make her head less wobbly.

But other than that I'm quite satisfied with her size/anatomy. It says that Sofia weighs 22 pounds, which didn't sound like a lot, but since this is my 1st doll, I can't imagine how much more difficult a doll weighing 3+ times as much would be to move around the house.

Lemme know if you have more questions complex365.

Nice to see such a great torso review. I think there's a huge potential market for torso dolls, especially for buyers with apartments or limited storage space. Please share more photos and info in the future!

Nice review of your fun, sexy lady.

Were the original eyes glued in and oval shaped?

There are a couple of similar looking TPE torsos available, but not all have skeletons. Also, the finish looks nicely done.
笑. It's good for you.

Yes, the original eyes were slightly oval shaped and had a tiny bit of glue securing them. They also had eyelashes lightly glued onto the eyeballs as a way to secure them. But once I ordered the new plastic eyeballs (which can look surprisingly real at times), I found the original eyes to come out easily, and that I'd rather remove the eyelashes anyway (a couple of the lashes had fallen out, and I didn't like how they were attached to the eyes).

I didn't know that part about similar looking torsos not having skeletons, so glad to help clarify for Sofia.
