Welcome to the November Cat D 'PCM' Challenge!
(Photo Composite / Manipulation)

This challenge is about developing your photo editing skills. To edit your original image to fit the theme.
You may have to add, remove, ... whatever it takes.

This months theme is “Historically Speaking”
Dolls have existed in one form or another throughout recorded history. But have you ever wondered what ancient roman silicone dolls looked like? Or how about the TPE dolls who fought in WWII? The Plushies who first helped put a man on the moon? Or the miniature dolls who made the first successful circumnavigation of the world? Now is your chance to show us what these heroes of history might have looked like!

I’ll leave it to the voters to decide if entries meet the theme requirements (‘cause I’m new at this)...

I wanted to carry over these links from last month, as I think they’re very helpful (Thanks Swan):

rafy A ... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB69ii ... DhrwJlrzsw
Howard Pinsky ... https://www.youtube.com/user/IceflowStudios

This is my first time hosting so please be kind to me :) :) :)
But, more importantly, Have Fun!

And, as with last month, if you are willing to share your techniques, Please Do!

Sounds like a fun theme - I may have to look at those links and see if I can do something a bit better this time

Cheers, Hollows.

Thank you. :)

And man am I familiar with that feeling. lol

I'm finding this one (even though it was my idea) to be a bit of a challenge for myself too. What point in history to do? And how am I going to even pull it off? lol As little ideas start to occur to me though, I think I'm going to enjoy the challenge of it. I hope everyone does. :) :) :)

Not sure I fully understand the theme, but I'll give 'er a go anyway. Historically Speaking, how about that chubby little Love Doll that nearly cost Bill Clinton his Presidency?

I give you, Suzy as the infamous Monica Lewinsky in:

This was a relatively simple 3 photo digital cut & paste using a basic Windows paint program and a generic office suite to smooth-out and blend the edges.

That is one excellent entry...I was going to replicate the entire D Day landing with hundreds of GI Joe's but after that picture...it would just pale in comparison, lol...

I have the day off today, so I thought I'd try one of my ideas out. This features some of those every day heroes of WWII, taking a little break from the action.

Here is Anna Marie in "R & R"...

I took the background image and cloned out one of the soldiers. I also gave the two remaining soldiers some extra cards. I then added the shot of Anna Marie, removed the color and a lot of contrast to make it match the background more closely. I also added some noise to her as well. I used the boots, helmet and cards from the soldier that I removed to put on Anna. And that's about it.

Hope you like it. :)

Thanks Hollows :)

I used Photoshop. It's a great program, but it did take some getting used to.
