As far as I know the eyes of Smart Dolls are not movable, but can be positioned - it's different.OlmanOz wrote:Very nice, may I ask.. Are the eyes on these dolls movable..?
Eyes can be changed, but you have to take the head apart. There are several replacement kits, with various type of eyes.
This information can be found on the smartdoll.jp website : https://shop.smartdoll.jp/collections/eyes
It must therefore simply be possible to give them an expression during reassembly, but then they remain fixed.shop.smartdoll.jp wrote:Do be careful not to place the eyes in a manner so that they look deranged because if that happens Smart Dolls will cry - crying dolls is never a good sign.

Interesting.Ranmamale wrote:Kasumi has "follow me" eyes. They are supposed to give the impression that she is looking at you at different angles.
You're right. In all the pictures if she's looking in your general direction she seems to be looking right at you.
It must be those big anime eyes.
Thanks,
scooter

Re: Please welcome my newest little cutie pie, Kasumi
Is she Mirai with an elf ears option or is she a specific girl? She's really pretty.
Re: Please welcome my newest little cutie pie, Kasumi
Kasumi is a Vinyl body and she was purchased fully assembled aside from the ears. She has no seem lines that I can see.OlmanOz wrote:So as you may be aware I have been doing a bit of research on these SmartDolls..

Re: Please welcome my newest little cutie pie, Kasumi
Yes she is Mirai with the elf ear option. I kind of wish they were permanent because they are just held on by a little hook that fits up under the wig so they can shift very easily. I was thinking of trying to use they same stuff they use to hold the eyes in place and apply a very small amount between her "real" ear and the elf ear to see if it stays put better.evtrav wrote:I didn't realize SD had elf options >.>

And thank you, I also think she is really pretty. I can't get enough of her.

and Welcome Kasumi.
She is cute. Smart Dolls? This seems to be a Ball-Jointed-Doll / BJD. Is it the same?
Cheers

I have a question of curiosity, do you turn into a girl when you get water on you? Is your surname Saotome?
