Ebony Dollx?
Abyss has been around a long time,i would of thought by now they would of made a truly black doll mainstream. Or is the supply vs demand just not there?

Re: Ebony Dollx?
How about improving for the sake of the overall quality in your company's products? I can't imagine any other company saying something like that. But to each its own, I guess. I'll continue to look elsewhere.
Re: Ebony Dollx?
Please explain the process of making a doll part of the lineup? I can understand making a elf, vampire or something not traditional. Which would result in a special fee. But,a skintone? Has Abyss ever made a darker doll? One think about retail,is if you never go outside the box,you never evolve.
I think every tpe doll company has a darker doll.
Why not make one darker black doll and see what happens? See if you get any bites! Worse case scenario, you have a doll showing the possibilities.

Re: Ebony Dollx?
I always wanted to ask how can this company charge so much money for their dolls WHEN the faces LOOK SO MANLY even transgenders have much more female faces. Here comes another issue with the real doll faces I’m willing to pay over 7k for a doll but this company offers me 2 choices rather I buy a doll that looks like a man or I buy a doll that looks like a 40-50 years old woman, but the actual bodies look like young models. How can a cheap chinese company make doll’s face much cuter and woman like?FFS I pay over 7k for a doll and all I want is to get the youngest doll that looks 18 years old, doesn’t look like a MAN or a 50 years old woman and that’s it.Brick wrote:There is not enough demand to refine development of a black doll.
Re: Ebony Dollx?
I’ve searched for ebony dolls as well. Unfortunately, there are much less to choose from, and close to nothing in the silicone section.
Regards and thank you for this topic!

Re: Ebony Dollx?
Yes, most if not all of the TPE manufacturers have the option of a dark or black skin tone, so you can have, for example, a Caucasian girl that looks like she's been cooked in a solarium, but she will look exactly that: a black Caucasian girl and not an ethnically realistic black girl.
There are very few ethnic black TPE dolls out there and, other than the current real doll (but she is a relatively light skin tone), no silicone ones.
Now, I have heard that the use of the really dark dyes can chemically weaken the TPE and maybe the same is true with silicone, but I don't know what the hard evidence for this is.
Bottom line, though: you ain't got much choice at the moment if you want an ethnically authentic black doll.
