Abyss,
Are all the available eye colors available on your website? or are there more? What company makes Realdoll eyes for you? (if you don't make them yourself) Will they (or you) make custom colors should one desire it?

I would venture to guess that most, if not all of the factory options are listed on the RD web page. If not, they should be rather soon. I don't remember who makes them, but they are pretty nice.
As for after market eyes, you can order pretty much any doll eye kit you want that will fit. As best as I can remember, 24mm or 25mm should fit.

GSS and BelShanar,
You're right. all questions and options should be answered soon on The Real Doll web site. It is a huge area though to cover.
Eyes made by "Guy" are a more expensive option. I think these have tiny "blood vessels" and therefore replicate the human eye very realistically.

Speaking of custom eyes, are there other sources since guy's eyes are no longer available? I'm aware of tech optics and i even talked to jim on the phone. He seemed keen on making eyes for me and i emailed back and forth with him a couple of times but then he just stopped responding - not sure why but i'm assuming he's either too busy to make eyes for just one person or he just wasn't interested in my business...? Weird.
Didn't bronwen mention a couple months back about offering a custom eyes option in addition to their stock eyes?

The eye colors mentioned on the Realdoll website are not the complete list. Like the wig list it is out of date. They now have:
Teal Green
Sea Green
Hazel Green
Dark Green
Hazel Brown
Dark Brown
Blue Grey
Grey
Violet
Dark Blue
Light Blue
I happened to have the list that Bronwen gave me when ordering my dolls. She did also mention custom options. Unfortunately I have no info on those.

I emailed Jim at Tech eyes too, he never replied. I was wondering the same thing.
I'd spring for a few sets of Guy eyes if that was an option. I don't believe Guy is making eyes at the moment . Although, I emailed him today anyway.
Sadly, incomplete info on the web site has been one of Abyss' problem areas for a while now. It is much better with the new web site. Still, the lack of info leads to email questions, which Abyss doesn't seem to answer.
If I had better info on the Wigs and eyes, I'd place an additional order. (I placed a doll order already.) I wish it was as easy as walking into the Abyss and assessing my options. Unfortunately I live too far away to do that.

I am iterested in finding out this as well.
I wonder if using the color contacts would work or not to change the eye colors on the fly.
Just a thought I had, but may not work at all.

Update: Finally received an email response from jim after a long period of online silence - i think he's just not the email type of guy although when i originally spoke to him on the phone i indicated that email would my preferred mode of comms. Anyway, he's going to go ahead and make the eyes i requested - from the pictures that poet has posted in the past they ought to be quite realistic; the price is reasonable too.

Last october a thread on Guy Louis eyes came up when Campdaan got a pair for Dotty. Abyss responded with saing they were looking to buy eyes similar to Guy eyes, but they didn't report back saing they were going with them. They did say they added new colors, and the size of the eyes are 24mm. and 26mm on the larger face, I belive F15? Any way here is the link: http://www.dollforum.com/modules.php?na ... ic&t=16601

The F16 requires the larger 26mm eyes. All others use 24mm.
I keep hoping that Abyss will post more information on their plans regarding eyes. I'm quite happy with the standard eyes, but I'm intrigued by the idea of seeing something more realistic. I suspect anything more realistic would be a scary thing to see.

Well, manekineko gave all the current eye colors that we offer in our standard doll eyes, both 24mm and 26mm. The only face that uses the 26mm is the face 16. The eye colors are now all shown on our website. The wigs should be updated by the end of the week.
We are no longer able to get the realistic eyes from Guy Louis unfortunately and spent the better part of 4 months trying to find another source. We have spoken to Tech Optics who have some nice options but they're really swamped right now. THEN we had a minor miracle - we were introduced to a SPECTACULAR eye maker. He does unbelievable eyes and can make any color or style. He even does the most amazing animal and fantasy eyes I've ever seen. This guy worked on "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Return of the Living Dead", "Sin City", "The Lion, Witch & the Wardrobe" plus many more. We are hoping to get our first order negotiated with him shortly but as yet we don't have final pricing or production times. Based on the artisanship and quality of his eyes I'm thinking these will need at least a 2 month lead time. We'll post photos as soon as we're able.
Ideally what we're hoping to do is offer several grades of eyes for various budgets and expectations. We'd like to offer the standards, plus a more realistic but not custom series, and then the high quality/priced ultra-realistic custom eyes as well... This is part of the epic plan that takes a very long time to get into action...
