Introducing Diana: 163LB Unboxing and Review
Diana is a 163LB, with a platinum silicone body (natural Asian skin tone, upgraded skeleton, standing feet) and an organic silicone head (Vala, natural Asian skin tone, implanted hair and eyebrows, wig 3).
She was ordered on November 2nd through BCD, and arrived December 3rd through FedEx.
Ordering Process
The ordering process was pretty painless. I had most of the specs decided already, since I'd been investigating this for a bit, and Jeff was good about prompting me to fill in any gaps. This was my second order through BCD, and it was easier this time around as I was more confident about what I'd wanted.
I was originally given a timeline of about two weeks for production, and about two weeks to get it shipped. It took almost three weeks to get approval pictures/video, but once that was done it was a quick turnaround to get it shipped so my overall order time was almost exactly the same as the estimate! I'm very pleased with the experience with BCD, and the pictures/info that was supplied by XYCOLO.
Packaging
The packaging was overall quite good. The box arrived in good shape, with a lot of tape.
There was some damage to one of the sides, which made me a little nervous.
The packaging was quite good, however!
There were many kinds of foam -- foam on the top, foam around the edges, loose foam padding. There were also a couple pieces of wood reinforcing the sides.
Unlike some of the pictures from earlier in the year, the head was sent wrapped in bubble wrap; no face screen or boxes.
There was also a bag inside the box.
Inside the bubble wrap, the head was additionally wrapped in padding. It isn't as easy to see in the picture, but there were foam bands wrapped around the top and bottom of the head to give it added protection. So bubble wrap, foam wrap, and then the foam bands to keep the head safe.
Inside the bag was the wig and the underwear that others have shown.
The body was wrapped in a sleeping bag, which was itself wrapped in air padding. The damage to the side of the box didn't make it as far as the air padding, so overall the packaging did a great job keeping it safe.
The body was loose inside the sleeping bag, although the air padding wrapped around limited how much anything could move.
The hands and feet had additional wrapping/protection. The foam wrap here was wrapped a few times, with tape holding the outer layer tight.
I remember in another thread someone wanted a better view of the manufacturing marks on the top of the head. In my case, it is pretty flush with the top -- not concave at all.

Re: Introducing Diana
The doll arrived in good shape. You can see some seam lines on the head in my picture above; that is representative of what the seams look like overall. There is some blobbing on the seams in some places -- I think that since it is on both sides of ankles, and on both shoulders, that these may represent manufacturing marks (maybe there was wire or something holding the skeleton in place?).
The joints mostly move smoothly. The hip/thigh joint is tight on both legs, so getting her into a proper standing position has a learning curve. The back joins move more smoothly, so the struggle is getting the leg where you want it without just moving the whole hip section. Other than that, every joint I've tried up to now has moved smoothly and held position once moved.
The head arrived in excellent shape. I definitely think I made the right choice with the implanted eyebrows/eyelashes. The face is really stunning in person; the picture does not do it justice.
I didn't find any significant damage. One of the feet has a minor bit of scratched sole, but it appears likely that this was a result of the foot bar and may have been caused by me when I moved here around getting her out. I will have to pay attention to the feet for potential future damage.
The coloring on the nipples and vagina are good; they match other pictures. One of the nipples had a shiny spot on one tip, but once I powdered the doll I was no longer able to see it. Before powdering the overall feel was mostly smooth but a little oily; after powdering, the feel is very smooth.
The Fun Stuff
So! It is time to introduce Diana.
I'm not much of a photographer, but since it is a special occasion...
Nope, let's not go too far!
In general, small size clothing fits well so far -- the breasts are going to be an interesting challenge for dressing. The shirt fits very well generally, but is pretty strained in the chest. If you were buying one of these dolls specifically for photography, I think the aesthetics of the small breast version would be easier.
That said, the larger breasts are fun in their own right. I've read that with the small breasts, you can feel the attachment point underneath -- this is much harder to accomplish with the large breasts. You really have to be trying to find something.
The feel of the doll overall is great. She is jiggly, but doesn't have the same odd give as a TPE doll (like when you press into the torso). The sculpt is exquisite -- the hands look good, and the feet are very detailed. It is a bit of a learning curve to work with the more accurate LHP (compared to my WM), but this is where the additional back joints from the upgraded skeleton really shine.
I've seen some comments that the organic silicone is rubbery -- to me, it feels similar to my 2017 WM TPE, but with less give. As others have said, the silicone inside the vagina/anus is substantially softer than the already soft silicone elsewhere.
That's all I can think of right now -- let me know if you have any specific questions!
We'll let you go with one more example of how the skeleton facilitates posing.
I am really, really pleased with this doll from XYCOLO, and appreciate the consistently good service from BCD.

Re: Introducing Diana
The expected weight for this model is 36kg; I haven't weighed it myself, but I think that this is about right.phorum wrote:Nice !!

It is a lot more to move than a WM 140, but well worth it from my perspective. I was able to get Diana up and down stairs with a bride carry position, but I think I'll aim to get a roller chair for more around the house movement.

Can do! Thanks for the comments everyone -- a taller doll is really a big change from the 140, and I'm happier overall with her.
Here are a few pictures from today:
The natural lighting helps, but my pictures don't quite do her justice.

I'd expect that for a cheaper TPE doll (like WM), but most of the silicon manufacturers have moved onto using more stable packaging methods that lock the doll in place and prevent it from moving in shipping.
Even ILdolls, which is a lower quality silicon company figured out an effective way to lock dolls in place with minimal material. They use some liquid foam that hardens that is super effective at keeping things in place, though it's a pain to unpack.
