TPE repair help for new owner

Post by KnightTheWolfal »

So I'm brand new to owning a TPE love doll and I've already torn some of the flesh on her knees from trying to pull her into the shower for a wash down and the solvent I used was Scotch weld instant adhesive primer, now when i put it on not only did it not help stick the wounds together but seems to dissolve more of it am I doing something wrong?

Ouch, rough spot to be in, buddy. Controlled melting through the proper application of heat is the best approach. I highly recommend reading this thread thoroughly:

Additionally, most people don't recommend a standing shower for cleaning because it's too easy for her to slip and fall. Works much better if you lay her on a foam pad in the bathtub, then run the shower or a squirt bottle over her.
I hope you can recover the damage, good luck! :)

If the damage isn't a clean slit, but has "chunks missing" or is in a stressed area, you might need to use something like a paste. This thread has all the info on that:
