The beauty of the feet of standing dolls.

Post by k_roll »

Good afternoon, dear forum users!
Interesting section, read it.
I would like to share my not only invention, but rather advice to doll manufacturers.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I observe that all manufacturers have legs of standing dolls that have bolts that are not covered by anything. Which allow the dolls to stand.
I covered these same bolts at mine with caps for furniture bolts of the corresponding color!
It began to look much more aesthetically pleasing and the stockings on the legs stopped tearing!
Why don't manufacturers make such plugs at the factory right away !?

Yah I read many reviews of dolls not standing very well without protective caps. That's why I highly recommend to future doll owners too get the protective caps or its going to be a pain standing up your beautiful sweet thang and giving her a good sweet loving standing up

Where can I get these caps? I'm tired of buying my doll new socks.

I have some available on my Shapeways shop (link in my signature).
They only work with the M6 button head foot screws, so you would need to verify that on your doll.

Manufacturers should make plugs that are made out of TPE for TPE dolls and silicone for silicone dolls so that they will look natural and feel like the rest of the doll. These plugs can be removed when the doll will be standing.

Oh, this made my day. I had given up trying to find these anywhere!
I use dolls to bring my fantasy girls into 3D! <3

BTW, you can dye the white nylon caps with Rit Dyemore (chocolate brown) to a nice flesh tone.
1/2 teaspoon dye in 2 cups hot water - you can adjust darkness by adjusting the dye time.

I repeat, but I got these caps from a furniture store. There they are used for furniture bolts.
Although for the first doll I made them myself on a lathe in my workshop.
