Buy a separate wig cap?

Post by CipherLo »

Do people get regular wig caps or special ones for their doll to prevent staining/easier time fitting wig?

With my tpe dolls, a wig cap is unnecessary. It is all about what type of doll you have. Is the hair implanted, or can you change her wigs? TPE or silicone?

I have never used wig cap, sounds like you'll be ok without one too :)

They can be helpful. I have had darker wigs leave some staining on their head.

I do not use wig caps. I use long pins to attach wig. Two on forehead, two on sides and two on back of her head. Guaranteed to keep her wig in place in any situation!

Cheers!

I don't use a cap either as the wig my doll came with has a neutral color webbing and there is enough adjustment in the elastic straps to keep it tight. I'll probably get one though, when I change the wig as the wig I have in mind has black webbing that I'm sure will stain.

I could never figure out where to get them at or what type to get so I just got implanted hair. Now I don't have to worry about the hair constantly falling off. (because I put the wig on wrong  )
